Toluna - Surveys that Pay
« on: July 04, 2014, 01:41:08 PM »
Toluna is another online survey program that sends you surveys by email.

I find Toluna sends far more surveys than any other survey company. They have several Reward options which include, cash payments, airtime vouchers and shopping vouchers. You can join Toluna today and earn for doing their online surveys.

Since it is point based system(cashout at 60000 pts and that is equivalent to a 12 pound).Working out the math,1 point on Toluna is worth 0.0002 and you need 60,000 of these points for a 12 amazon or HMV voucher.
Most surveys are worth 1000 pts-2000 pts which is a measly 0.2 pound or 0.4 pounds.
If you still think it is a great pay for half an hours work, pls continue working with that site.

That is exactly how I feel. The pay is too low and the payout too high.

I got quite a few surveys to begin with but I haven't had any in weeks. They have the same surveys as a couple of the other companies I'm with, so it's possible I'm filling out the surveys from them rather than Toluna, though.

As soon as I hit payout (in 100 years or more), I'm done.

I take Toluna surveys, but through a different platform than just trying to collect points from their site.  They work with some other survey sites and this seems to be the best option for me.  I like Toluna surveys in that they normally work just fine and there are hardly any errors.  It makes me mad when I get half way through a survey and it errors out on me.

Agreed, it is really rough. The payout is way too high- and while they send you plenty initially, it really does seem that the stream of them dries out pretty quickly. I'm not a fan. Then again, I haven't had a ton of luck with survey sites in general, I've found other opportunities to be a lot more time/cost productive.

Toluna used to be quite lucrative a few years ago, besides surveys and Quick Votes, there was a social aspect to the site where you could ask and answer questions for points. It's much harder to withdraw now this feature has been stopped so I don't bother with them any more. They have definitely gone down hill of late.

I've never been a member of Toluna but have done a few of their surveys on Swagbucks. I make a lot more doing them on Swagbucks than I would if I became a member of Toluna. Thanks for the information, but I think I will take a pass on this on.

I've been with toluna for several months. They send you surveys pretty often in comparison to many other similar sites but the payment is really small. I checked my balance just yesterday and it was around 5000 points. Seems much at first till you get to the cashout sum. I admit I wasn't active there as I used to before but I began to skip the surveys as I guess it's just not worth your time. Plus, the surveys're usually pretty long and it takes much time to do them well.

I only use Toluna surveys on other sites and I much prefer that as it is easier to cash out with more options.

My experience with Toluna is that they have some straightforward surveys and the estimated times given are accurate. I have a done a few in the last week and they have been okay, much better than Peanuts Lab which is dreadful.

I've never heard of Toluna before. Just how many survey sites are there out there LOL?! Thanks for the heads up, oraclemay, but from the sounds of it, it's not much cop. Legitimate or not, 6 000 points to cash out is beyond steep for me. I mean, the most I'll do is 1 000 points, which I already think is too much. It takes me up to two weeks to reach that. How long does it take to reach 6 000 points? I shudder to even think about it!

Toluna was the survey site (through vivatac) was the one that scammed me on the phone interview. I did the survey as requested and on the last page because I opted not to be contacted by phone for a follow up interview, they screened me out at 99%. That to me is a scam, because it was a separate survey option.

OMG that is so low for earnings! It is way far from a penny here in the US. Though through this thread, there are many positive comments, I still think that this is almost worse than "child labor" in the third country!! We online workers are being paid much less than laborers!

Toluna only offers 900 points per completed survey (.30 cents for 30-45 min of your time). Its not one of the best in terms of getting paid quickly but still a legit one that pays.
Quite low actually.Check their rates.

I receive some email from them telling me about a survey  but I gave up because every time I try the survey is always taken or over and what not. I never had the chance to really do a survey even if the email notification has just arrived. Maybe I was not really qualified to take the survey

I've been signed up with Toluna for a while now, but as far as I can recall, I've never actually qualified for a study, although i have started quite a few, based on the email links they've sent me. My demographic is obviously not everyone's cup of tea, and I have the same problem with most survey sites, so I've pretty much given up on them.
