I would suggest you  write and publish a books on Amazon kindle.  Do your home work and research kdp direct.  The hard part is two stages. One is to write the book, and two is in marketing the book.  But it can be done, and it is really 100% working for yourself .

These are really nice ideas. :)
I have not tried joining those writing contests on magazines or any writing contests that has such amount of prizes. Those who are really fond of writing could look for those contests online and try to win some of the prizes. Right that if you are fond of writing, you can create good articles and some might be published and be known.

I really haven't tried joining those writing competitions online yet, but yeah, that's really a great idea, specially for talented teenagers who want to earn extra money during the holidays.

When I was in College I love to write already and my English professor in our Public Speaking Class always gave me the highest grade when it comes to writing and speaking in front of our class every time we had a discussion. It is nice to know that my teacher had believed in my capacity. He is even pushing me to pursue this talent. But my parents really wanted me to take up a course in Accountancy that is why it does not push through. And now since I am not working anymore when I got married this is the time that I decided to pursue my writing talent even working online and I do hope it will be a success. :)

I have found that being creative is the easy part.  The hard part is to get others to think it is creative enough.  I have not yet been successful in promotions with just myself doing it.  I find that when you enlist a team it usually turns out much better.

Amazon kindle is the way to go if you feel your creative ideas are worth publishing. It is free and easy to promote via the Amazon KDP service. You may even get some reviews after the initial free downloads to judge your work.

Creative writing for me is probably the best way to make money online. You can also earn $100 per article if you submit an article to Listverse. Listverse is a site that publishes top 10 lists article, so if you have a unique, original idea for a top 10 list, then you can submit it to Listverse, and if you're article's accepted you'll get $100.

If you agree to sell your written work (forfeiting your rights on your work for the sake of money), you can definitely make money from creative writing. Another way to make money from creative writing is by publishing ebook and asking your friends and family to buy the book.

What a great idea! One thing can lead to another, and you could find yourself writing on a regular basis for certain magazines or sites.
There is so much talent out there. I personally would love to participate in creative writing stories, and also read the stories of others.

I agree! I don't know how exactly but I am a teen and one day, I suddenly received an email regarding signing up on an entertainment news website. They were open for anyone willing to apply to write content for them. I didn't actually sign up because I don't have a ton of ideas yet but it's still something too lookout for for other people who are interested.

Becoming an independent writer (not a writer connected with companies) is one of the riskiest jobs ever. Some make it and get their names out there, others continue to float in obscurity. I read an article once that if you want to make it as a writer then more than talent, more than skill, you've got to have guts.

I guess we need to be resourceful and gutsy enough to transform ordinary creative writing gig to an actual income-generating profession.

I think the closest thing online that I have seen for creative writing would be writing for greeting cards but that may and may not work out. I have been thinking about self publishing an ebook but have not done it yet. It is scary but I want to go out there and just do it.

If you have language skills and can write, you can make money from creative writing. One of the easiest ways to earn from creative writing is find writing sites where you can publish your works. You may not earn big money, but you will off course generate some cash. Another way is to join freelancer site and find jobs that asks for creative writing. You can also publish books on Amazon or other market.

@xTinx....I can certainly believe the one about needing the guts, too! I've always dreamt about doing something like writing an eBook or maybe even setting up an online magazine, but for some reason, I just can't. And at the very core of my procrastination is pure, unadulterated FEAR. If i could just free myself of this crippling fear, I could go ahead and give it a shot. I mean, it's not as if the world would come to an end if I didn't make it,  so I don't get why I'm so scared LOL
