CrowdSource
« on: July 25, 2014, 09:53:08 AM »
Is anyone else familiar with CrowdSource, completing small tasks?
I just started working through them and confused as to when you get paid and how much do you have to make before you can withdrawl it.
Under their FAQs, that is not one of the questions on there. So, if anyone is familiar with them, please let me know.
I appreciate it!

You get paid as soon as your work gets approved. In my experience, the microtasks usually get approved or denied within 24 hours. The money goes straight to your paypal account. You don't have to transfer or anything :)

I have been paid several times with CrowdSource. I like that they automatically pay you and you do not have to accumulate a certain amount before being able to transfer. I have not had much work there but plan to do some of the training so that I can get more. I like it because it is easy.

I had not heard about this site. I checked the site and found it to be very interesting, I wanted to join but I cannot find a tab that takes me to the registration page.

I am not sure I ever heard of this site. Is it any better or worse than Amazon mturk? I think I have heard of this site, but I never tried doing anything on it. It sounds like it is called Onespace now. I have lots of little tasks I can do for cash, but I am not sure if this site would be one worth investigating.

Thank you for sharing this information! I have always curious about this site, but didn't have enough time in a day to investigate.

That is the big advantage of these sites, they pay immediately, but for me it's frustrating when after a few hours work all I get in my PayPal account is just some cents.

I did get paid once from them for doing an easy task but kind of forgot about the site. I need to get the transcription test done to get more jobs for sure. I think this will be a great site to get cash from sometimes.

I'm surprised some people are only hearing about CrowdSource now! I tried for the writing gig, but sadly, didn't get in :( Like Alex said, it's recently changed to OneSpace....did it change management or its way of doing things, or is it just a simple name change? Could I try for the tasks instead of the writing?

It does seem weird that there's no minimum cash out threshold; I wouldn't like to see a payment of a mere few cents clearing into my Paypal account, though LOL I know it soon adds up, but still...!

Is this a site that requires tax information up front? I'm not willing to impart that information until I know for sure that the site is legitimate, and also that it will work for me. I saw someone mention on another site that they had tried this site and had some issues with people really cracking down on grammar and style. Since that person is a published author, I doubt I have much of a chance, unless those editors were unusually strict.

I know CS has a forum now anyone here who checks or participates in there? Do they post opportunities on their forums? I do not see anything available lately for me to do. Got any tips guys aside from upgrading your skills?

I also have that frustration. I just recently joined a similar site and I have actually spent almost the whole day working on the available tasks but when I checked the next day, all I had on my account was less than a dollar. They're good sites for earning a little bit of extra money but only when you have extra time for them. I don't want to spend a whole day of effort anymore for just a few cents.  :)

They just need verified paypal, unless they have changed that recently. They adhere to APA style I think, so unless you are American and used to that, it's not that easy, especially with diction and how Americans phrases things.

Much of it is computerized and has to pass through the system, and that's why it picks up things like spell check that real normal people would accept as okay.
