Userlytics
« on: August 16, 2014, 10:01:21 AM »

I read an article on website testing and it mentioned Userlytics. The site says it pays $10/test. Has anyone used it? I thought of signing up, but I signed up for TryMyUI. I still haven't done a test but I wanted to see how it goes there first.
I've signed up for a few things and I don't want to sign up for so much that I cant really dedicate sufficient time to everything and my email already gets a lot of messages as it is.

I signed up with Userlytics about 3 weeks ago, and after passing their qualification test I received nothing for a while.  This seems typical for the user testing sites, there can be quite some time in between opportunities, and since they are looking for a certain demographic for each study, there can be a number that you may not qualify for.  Patience rules the day with these sites.

Anyway, as for Userlytics,  I was just about to write them off, but then suddenly yesterday there was a test available.  I qualified and was able to complete the test on the second try (on the first round, their software crashed about 2/3 of the way through).  As it stands now, my test has been approved and I have $10 pending from them.  Their website says that they pay once a fortnight on a Friday... so I will be getting paid either tomorrow or next Friday, I think?

I'm also signed up with TryMyUI, but I have not seen any action from them yet...

At least you got a test.  I still haven't heard anything either from TryMyUI.  I guess they're just slow.  At least I'm on.  I have it automatically open whenever I get on the internet so fingers crossed.  Thank you for answering, btw.

No I have not used Userlytics yet but I did write it down on paper and plan on signing up soon. I like to do some research on a site first before joining which is a smart thing to do. Doing website testing world be quite a cool experience for me and I'm looking forward to trying it.

Hooray, I got paid!  The payment showed up on 9/5, and I performed the test on 8/27, so we're looking at 8 days turnaround for this one.  I will admit, it appears that the available work opportunities are few and far between for Userlytics, but I can confirm that at least they paid out one guy on one occasion ;-)  We'll see what else comes out of this site...

Good for you!  8 days is great.  I hate that 30 day wait.  LOL  I may give it a shot then, because so far nothing at all from tryMyUI.  thanks for sharing.

I've been a member of Userlytics for maybe a year now. I've received emaits wanting me to take a survey to qualify for a test, but I've never gotten past that point. I haven't qualified for anything up to this point.

Having said that, it's good to know that someone has qualified and gotten paid in a timely manner. Guess I'll keep trying! :)

What kind of work is userlytics?  Testing websites is a little vague to me, are you looking for specific things and reporting if they work correctly or something.  Would you say this work is easy or hard?

It is good to know that someone here received a payout from the site even it takes more than a week.
I have not tried Userlytics and I think it is not worth trying for me since most probably I will not be getting any jobs from them because of my location. Maybe will check this out someday if I do not have any other sites to work on.

I've got nothing from userlytics as well, I have signed up, but haven't received a single e-mail from them, so I can't recommend the site to anyone.

I am currently employing Topaz' technique to get more tests on User Testing. I will try this site as  I hear more reviews about it.

What is the Topaz technique?  I used to always get tests from UserTesting, but lately it has been VERY quiet.

I have been looking at these testing sites and it seems to be quite tricky to get eligible tests. For userlytics is their more jobs available than usertesting? Do you need to record yourself and submit reviews?

:) :) I think that was in reference to me (I am Topaz) and I had suggested that folks sign up with usertesting.com. There is a good way to ensure that tests are received, that once on the computer, you log in and keep on the headset...that way, as soon as a test is available, you may click it to check it out and see if you qualify. There are also times when tests comes without a pre-testing part....this usually depends on the site/tests itself (meaning, it may not have outlined for any particular set/location, etc).
