I only really use the forums for post loop now, because every time I tried doing it with the blogs I was never given the points that I earned by participating there and posting on the blog posts. I stick with the forums because they always give me the points from it that I deserve.

Theres a couple I frequent. Some of the ones that have gone offline I still visit and remain active because they offer some really good information. For the most part though I have found that a lot of the blogs require comment moderation so you only get points when the post has been approved. This can be kind of annoying .

The forums tend to have a moderator online for most of the day, whilst a blog may only be checked when the author is posting. I wonder if this has anything to do with the delay in being credited. It is annoying though, there are several blogs listed as "active", where I have posted but have yet to receive anything from them,

Yes, some blogs get checked a couple of times a day and others maybe every few days. Most are personal blogs, so people aren't on them everyday. I can understand as they must get spam, as I do on my own blogs and I moderate all of mine. It can be annoying especially if they don't have many points, so it can be a risk for you as you don't know how big the queue is for moderating comments.

A few months back I did try a couple Postloop blogs but never got credited. It sounds like this happens to many of us. These days I find there are enough forums to keep me busy, so I've given up on the blogs, at least for now.

I also did blogs once, but won't be doing so in the future. There is hassle with moderation, and even if they are all approved, it's not instant like with forums. Sometimes it can take several days. I hope I don't have to resort to blogs in future.

I think I will just subscribe to a blog where there is also a forum counterpart on PL, since at least I can be assured that my content will be credited when I post there if blogs are prone to not giving points to their commenters. I experienced not being credited in a forum though, but not in a blog.

I have tried the blogs, with little to no success.  I do not know whether it is because they are not checked often enough or if someone is "ahead" of me awaiting approval.  I really enjoy using the forums on the other hand.  Have not had a problem there yet. :)

I don't know which blogs you guys are talking about, but I'm currently on 2 of them and the points are given just like a forum post. I've only had problems with a couple of blogs which are now all offline anyway

I am not subscribed to any blog on PostLoop right now. I have tried posting on one of the blogs there before, but I was quite disappointed with their approval system. It took about 1-2 weeks before they have approved my comment. That pretty sucks, so I just decided to ditch blogs on PL for good.

There are a couple of good ones that don't need approval after you've made a couple of posts. I think they're disabled now though. Anyway, I'd recommend checking the blogs once in a while to see if anything good pops up. No point in disregarding all blogs just because of a few bad apples

It is sometimes really hard to make money with Postloops because some of the sites just keep going offline. And like you said, some people aren't even posting on some blogs anymore. I'm signed up for some blogs where no one posts at all. So then I just keep making new thrreads in hopes that someone else will find the site. That's really all that you can do.

For some reason I haven't had any luck with the blog side of things either. I register as I should, ensure that I've linked it up properly with postloop, post a few comments, but never get any sort of credit showing for the posts.

I've given up on that side of things these days - sticking to the forums is easier, and keeps me busy enough! I prefer the reliability of sites that I know will credit me the earned points accordingly.

Another problem with some blogs is there is little new content and once you have commented on all articles then there is nothing more you can do.

Most blog owners will also be more particular about content as well, so I wouldn't expect any high ratings if they rate at all.

When I first joined I signed up for a few blogs, but now I only have two on my panel that I only use to make up points.

I haven't tried out Postloop's blog section but from what I gather, it doesn't seem to live up to peoples expectations who are posting here. That's a shame as it would be nice to post on blogs in the same seamless manner as on forums. I haven't even tried Chicklit but it seems to be suffering from similar issues. Recently I heard the MyLot is paying it's members again, I'll be checking that out later to see if it's true.
