Postloop Slump
« on: November 23, 2014, 06:06:59 PM »
Anyone else feel like Postloop is in a slump right now?  Maybe it's because the holidays are coming and forum owners are busy with other thing, but I am seeing so many of my sites going on and off with postloop that it's a little frustrating.  I feel like I have to stay up late and/or get up really early to get all my posts in before some of them go offline again.  Sometimes I come and see the frustrating messages that a site has been enabled, then disable all while I was at my regular job, so I never had a chance that day.  Right now it feels like my earning potential has really gone down from where it was a little while ago. I have joined literally every forum I possibly can and keep checking back to see if there are new ones, so all can do about this slump is wait it out.

Probably. Most people right now are getting busy with preparations and other stuff that they're probably cutting back on spending time online.

I have to agree with you. The weekends are a little better if you want to earn more points. You do have to get to them right away before everyone uses all the points up.

I also observed that lots of forums now are disabled and I could agree on the majority that it could be because they are busy for the holidays.
They do not have time to check their forums and so, they just disabled and might go back on it again after the celebrations. I also check the list of forums to see if there will be a forum I could sign on since the points I have been earning lately are too low.

To me, Post Loop don't have enough good forums to post in. A lot of them I don't identify with. And y'all need to get used to the on and off of the sites because it's costing the forum administrators money to have you post there.

Not to make it worse, but it's Thanksgiving in the US this week, so anticipate a lack of work for us internationals who only celebrate PROPER holidays. ;)

There is a group of sites which I suspect have an owner on GMT - more than once I've had "Subscribe Sites Enabled" notifications arriving in my inbox in or around 9am here.

If you don't have the notifications turned on, try it. It would make sense that the owners would have a regular routine so if you can figure out what time they come online, you can try and clear space in your schedule to make the most of it.

I dont know about other forum owners but my problem is while I earn some points by posting on forums I also buy points and I simply dont have as much spare cash to do that with at the moment.  I have found in the past that posters will manage to go through as many points as I make available very fast so I am forced to dish out portions each day.

Sorry  :-\

Yes, I've been feeling the slump too. There have been three forums that have been disabled in three months that I've been with PL.  My choices to participate in other forums are nil because I don't meet the rating or the topics are of no interest to me.

I've noticed list of forums had decreased too.  I wonder if there will be more forums added/joining.

I notice that a lot of sites do go on and off each day but I just found at least 3 new forums on the board today. I don't do this full-time and really, this is the 1 forum that I make sure to make it to everyday. It's not that I don't enjoy it but I just don't make enough money posting on forums. I have to do other stuff too in order to make a decent WAH income. I think it's necessary to sign up to as many forums as possible in order to ensure you have somewhere to work when you can work. However, that seems to be the way that it is everywhere anymore, not just Post Loop.

I agree. It has been very slow and they have more forums going offline than they've been adding new ones. So at this point we just have to wait it out and see what happens. I am also especially bummed because one of my favorite forums seems to have disappeared forever. The forum has been taken down.  I hope he will decide to come back one day. It was my first Postloop subscription and my favorite forum.

Postloop is having less forums and the forum have less points, so I am not making as much money there as I used to, it's hard, but like you say it's been like that since the summer.

I can agree with the feeling of frustration, but I'm not sure I would define it as a slump.  I actually don't even fault the owners for the slight inconsistencies that some of us are facing.  The holiday season is here, and just like us, they are people, as well.  It would be selfish of us to demand receive 100% of their divided and undivided attention, when the majority of our time will be spent with family to celebrate these 3 upcoming holidays.  I'd give them a pass and let them slide this time.   :D

I totally understand, there will be ups and downs with postloop and I'm not blaming anyone really.  I am just a little frustrated, not because of any forum owner, but mostly because I am still working on finding other areas to earn from, and have yet to get anything really established due to a lot of circumstances in my life right now, so postloop is currently my primary earner online at the moment.  I hope to have that changing soon as I diversify, but that's where I'm at right now.

Agree!! I only have 2 that I can really count on right now! But it's ok I completely understand that the forum owners are busy/short on spare cash to buy points. It's the holidays, I should probably be doing other things too  ;D

That's the nature of Postloop, the forums keep coming and going and you need to quickly adapt to the newer ones or run the risk of getting left behind and then floundering to try to regain your footing and join new forums.
It's easier if you're always on the lookout for new forums as you will find familiar faces there while they still have plenty of points.
