I don't think of it as better so much as I think of it as being harder! You have to act as your own marketing team and make sure that people actually read your book! It is one thing to self-publish, but you still have to market the heck out of the final product.

Self publishing puts the book on the streets immediately, but it costs you. So yeah, it's better if no publisher is willing to do it, but it requires more effort and expenses from us.

Self-publishing is not better, but it can be your launch pad. You can self-publish and later use this credential to get a publishing contract with a traditional publisher. It is hard to published via a traditional publisher, therefore, you can publish your book online or print and make money by selling books
