New user of clickworker
« on: December 29, 2014, 08:46:45 PM »
I recently signed up for Clickworker then I got an email saying my account was disabled.  I contacted them and was told I needed to verify my identity.  I started to wonder if it's worth it because I checked out their Facebook site which says the UHRS is not accepting new users from the U.S. I'm disappointed.  Is it worth it for me to send them my information to try to get my account back? Or are there better sites I could try? Thanks

I just signed up tonight, and it did not ask to verify my identity, it does ask to verify a  cellphone number but because i do not have a personal phone I cannot do this.

Don't know if working for click worker is worth it but money is money.

I signed up, got verified, did a fair bit of work on it and then had my account blocked. They wanted further verification. Admittedly, I'm temporarily living outside of one of their recognized countries at the moment but I was still could have been/should have been blocked earlier if it was an issue. Anyway, I'm taking it as a live and learn situation and I'm not bothering to re-connect. They can keep their money. Try CrowdSource. It's got lower paying microtasks but I'm able to do some of the writing tasks, which pay better.

I did not experience such strict identity verification although I live outside of their zone. I did not see anything available for me to work on though  but just now I check again and thank goodness they have this slow earning task of categorizing fashion products. On crowdsource they have the same and pay quick.

I have recently joined clickworker had did not have a problem verifying my account by email. I have done many jobs through them and have been paid once so far and am working on my next one. I guess you will have to decide if you would be able to make enough for payouts and whether it would be worth your time to invest in it. I like that the tasks are simple and do not take a lot of effort.

I just signed up for Clickworker a few days ago. I have only done one assessment but I have yet to see any projects for me. Is this the way it's supposed to be? I've read that lots of people are making even as high as 30 dollars a day from this site and that's why I tried it. But to be honest, I'm wondering if it's a good idea to even be a member of this site. I try to check it from time to time but there's no work for me.

Is there also supposed to be a UHRS assessment? If I passed that test, would I get projects?

In my opinion, I don't think you should re-connect your account especially if they are not accepting new users from US. Why would you want to give that personal information out if you are not a user?

Try Crowdsource like everyone has suggested. At least you will be making a bit of money if you are an accepted new user!

If you're from US then I suggest you use mTurk instead of Clickworker. I've never used mTurk before since I'm not a US citizen, but I've heard a lot of good things about that site from other people that have used it to earn money. I've tried Clickworker before, and based on my experience it's a waste of time. Microworkers is better than Clickworkers but to me their payment system is a bit tedious. So, I suggest that you just abandon Clickworker and give mTurk a shot, if you haven't already tried that site.
