I haven't actually tried selling EBooks on Amazon. I think it depends on the genre of your EBook. If it's fiction, personally, I think it would sell more, specially if it's young-adult. Also, promote your EBook on different social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to get a lot of people interested. Good luck!

I saw lots of people using Facebook and Twitter to promote their books. You can do the same for a while to see if it will help. I have not try to self-publish an eBook so kudos to you and wishing you lot of luck.

I decided to write an e-book just as an experiment to see if it was a good idea. I spent from 12a.m to 5.am in the morning writing whatever came to mind. I did the formatting and published it for 99 cents. It's been a couple months since then. Every now and then (1 or 2 weeks) I get $8 dollars deposited into my bank account. I have some bad reviews from people expecting something awesome and some nice reviews. I've gone online to places that say they will promote your book  for free. I signed up for a couple, can't recall the names. I'm not sure if that helped with sells. I read some people make like $300 a month. That instead of writing what you want, you have to write what sells and then Market, Market, Market...

That is awesome that you got it done. I was on this webinar where this guy published over 2,500 books. He did it because he would record his thoughts and ideas. Got them transcribed. Hired a designer to design the cover on fiverr, uploaded it and published it. I would say that you should get it edited. people do not like to pay for books with errors. How do you market?

Funny story. I sold an ebook on the Kindle Direct Publishing platform years ago and then forget about it. It was a few pages long and was more of a test than anything serious. Someone actually purchased that ebook, and Amazon paid me out 88 cents, which was somewhat amusing. I'm not complaining about the money because it's decent, but I like that my random, tiny ebook was purchased by some random stranger.

You're probably experiencing an issue with your e-book being discovered by people. This is common with all forms of media sold on the internet, whether it's e-books, music, games and apps. You will need to improve your social media presence and market yourself better. You could even higher some folks from Fiverr to help you out with this. It's tough selling anything online, especially when you're just starting out. Take this as a learning experience and try to improve with your future e-book releases.

I have published a couple of books through Amazon, and have mixed results. Some books have barely sold ten copies, while others have sold a couple of thousand. I think it depends a lot on your reviews most of the time - those with more positive reviews are going to sell more, so if you can get lucky and get one or two really good reviews at the very start, that is incredibly helpful indeed. I would certainly say that it is something that you should try, but be prepared for the fact that it might not be easy as you think!

You have to be patient, and wait for the clients awhile. You must gain traffic to your E-book. Try advertising on social media. :) Good luck.

There are websites that will promote your book for free . also , I have two books published on Kindle Amazon . I use e free promotion feature for two weekends in a row and I received 200 downloads of my Kindle book . Marketing on Kindle is counterintuitive especially if you don't have a built-in audience . Check out this video....

Wow, there are some really good tips on here. I have ghostwritten ebooks, but have never written one of my own. I have been told the day of the short quick ebook is over, but I think that maybe the market is over saturated right now. Maybe take it off, and try to publish it again some day after you build up some following. Also, I think some people give the books for free at first and then charge for later editions. There are a few marketing strategies, I am sure you will learn more on the sites that were mentioned here.

I just started selling an e-book on amazon I read an article about making money of amazon also is effected by the quantity of books you listed.  I don't know how true that is but I am going to try and finish my other books up in the next month to get listed as well.
