I understand pennies add up, but their are a lot of tasks that only pay one or two. Sites like Swagbucks, Inbox Dollars, and Quickrewards are notorious for these. I admit, when the surveys get annoying (mainly from disqualifications), I will switch to the one or two-cent jobs. It's not much, but it throws money on the pile. Do you think this paltry amount is not worth your time or do you take all that you can get?

I have to admit, a year or so ago, I wouldn't waste my time for a few pennies, but this past year, money got really tight, so I gave swagbucks a try again and I'm surprised at how fast it does add up.  I do swagbucksTV and Encrave activities at the same time (opening two windows).  The past few months they've had JunGroup and Engage activites so I added those as well.  It gave me something to do while watching TV and I made $1700 in about 9 months.  Not bad.  What I really like about it, it's all on one site, not spread out over a dozen different survey sites.  Now I'm hooked.  Unfortunately, swagbucks has really slowed down since the 1st of the year - I'm hoping it will pick back up in a few weeks.

Thank you for the response. I have not been at this nearly as long as you, so I can't see the really big picture yet. I am only on about two months. You made almost $200 a month on Swagbucks alone. That was pretty good. Was it a lot of time? Was it only the videos or surveys and other things? I only make a little more than in all work I do online. I agree that Swagbucks' opportunities seem to be waning lately. I keep at it, as I have indicated, I need those pennies. I hate that they limit everything though. Many sites don't place limits like they do.

If I will use the energy to pick up a penny on the street I will certainly use it to get it another way (online).  It's just a matter of thinking it like interest on a savings account except you just have to do something for it.

I'm glad to hear you're hanging in there primalclaws. I've only been working online five months exactly on the 12th of January and I'm still learning a lot of ways to earn extra cash with the survey sites I like.

Have you tried Reward TV?  Easy surveys. Check it out.

I have done tasks that only paid a penny.  I am not willing to do a lot of work for a penny though.  It was something I was interested in and found to be easy.  They do add up quickly but if it takes more than five minutes I would stay away from the task.  They are worth something too.  I think of it this way if I went to the grocery store I may need that penny to help pay my bill so it is worth it to try to earn it.

For me it depends on the task I am doing. I am not to picky though, money is money to me and on some sites those pennies really add up fast.

Oh god, I could never do penny jobs. That is the main reason I couldn't stick with Slicethepie, I see no point in writing six paragraphs only to be awarded 6 cents.
Pennies do add up, but it can take a very long time just to make a dollar or two, and I don't think it is worth the effort at all. Another factor is wether or not I enjoy doing it. I'll gladly get paid 5 cents for something I love doing anyway, but reviewing music is something that I find very boring, so I definitely didn't find it to be worth it at all.

I have found myself weeding out things I like less, and sticking with things that are "fun" to me. Writing has always been enjoyable to me, so I stick with that. I liked surveys at first, because I could make money quick, but once my profile is established, I don't seem to qualify. Writing doesn't feel like work at all to me.

Writing is one of my favs also but I want to find better sites. I was doing CGP but stepped back a bit. I also was on Daily 2 Cents but sort of stopped with them. If I could find something a little more higher paying or more forum posting work that would be nice. Writing isn't really work to me either.

It depends on how much work it is for the pennies. I do the QuickReward 1 cent videos and Swagbucks offers quite often. I push them off to the sides of my screen while doing other things though, so it's more of a constant thing. I also get on ChatAbout when I'm too tired to do real work. Other than that I don't bother with low rewards though. I don't want pennies for downloading or doing offers - I find it frustrating.

I sometimes do Crowdflower tasks for around a penny each, but only if they are very quick and very simple, or if there is absolutely nothing left for me to do for the day at any other sites. Otherwise, I won't waste my time.

No, I consider that to be a waste of time, unless it's just click the link and you're done. That's OK because I can click a heck of a lot of links per minute but otherwise no way.

Thanks for all the replies. Quickrewards suggested I do their penny offers, like that would come even close to the pay a qualifying survey gives a person. I do the videos sometimes, if I know I am going to be in front of my computer for a long while. If I am here anyway, why not? SwagbucksTV apps can't be left alone, and they are far less than a penny a video, but again, if I know I am here, and I can babysit, then it's a few more cents than I would have, and I would still be sitting here regardless.

I'm with you.  I did microtasking and I was just so into it that after 15 minutes I thought, wow!  how much have I made?  Seven cents.  SEVEN CENTS in FIFTEEN MINUTES.  I stopped doing microstasks then and there.  They can keep my seven cents.  It's my payment to them for reminding me know my time is worth more.  ;)

If it's something I'll do, like PostLoop or a review or whatever, then yeah.  I'm going to do it anyway, so might as well get paid for it, you know?

As for Swagbucks, my partner does it and he has racked up quite a few points.  But each of us has a backup phone in case our phones get messed up (he's always dropping his and I rarely drop mine but when I do it's like in a puddle or something   ;D LOL).  Anyway, he uses his for Swagbucks.  He logs in and sets it to watch videos as he goes about his day.  SO technically, he's not really using his time.  He checks it every once in a while to click on something or whatever, but it's his method and it works.  LOL

It's extremely annoying especially if there are set goals that you had. So what you should do is to look for paid to sites that are interesting to you and you won't even notice when the pennies add up to something substantial.
