Can you sell entirely online
« on: January 14, 2015, 10:19:18 AM »
I have seen some individuals who are called Avon E Reps.  I am wondering if you can sell Avon completely online?  Or do you still have to do offline sales.  I would guess if you are an e-rep, you do not handle any merchandise directly.

I'm not an Avon sales rep, but I've bee considering doing something like it or that company exactly. The thing is I would have to do it completely online since I don't have a car to get me to places to try and sell to other people, and I don't have a lot of friends to try to sell to. So I think that might not be the best idea. I don't know, but I'm still very interested in doing something like it.

I have been avoiding sales jobs because I can't talk in front of even small groups of people so I wouldn't be able to do the parties and stuff.  If it could be done entirely online, I would definitely be more interested in adding that as a line of income.

I would think that since it is considered 'your' business that you can sell entirely online.  Also I believe you would have the sole responsibility to deliver orders to your customers.  The drawback is if you're going to mail orders then your sales will probably be low.  I could be wrong about that though.  Now days people shop a lot online and like having things delivered to their door.  Hope this helps.

Any news on selling Avon online?

I would really like to sell Avon but having an online store much in the way it seem you can have one under Tupperware, but I haven't found further information on this matter.

Have someone tried to start an Avon online store whether under the company's address or from a service provider?

I remember that before Amazon would be offering their aStores to let your run your own Amazon store, there was a company outside Amazon providing you with this opportunity.

Maybe for Avon there is something similar to set up a store?

I just had a quick look and it may vary country to country but in the UK there is a section that says you can sell online if you wish;

'Opportunity to run your business online and have your very own website with the Personal Online Brochure (POB)'

I may look into this later as I have started a beauty blog and this would be a good tie in.

Undoubtedly this really could be for your blog!

As for me, if this is only available in the UK, I will not be in, but this is exactly what I would like to have for selling Avon products; a personal online brochure!

Welll, Avon does have a website now, and they do give their representatives the opportunity to have an online stroe.  The draw back to this, finding the individuals to go to the store online.  Of course there are similar drawbacks to doing it face to face, again have to find the customers.  Now having an online store is a wave of the future, people do seem to like the convenience of going online.  So maybe with a company like Avon, maybe it would be a good idea to start out gaining the cliental then going over to the online store.  I guess ways of doing this would be through social media out lets like Facebook and Twitter where you could have friends or followers.  Just be careful of Facebook they can be very particular about what people do out there, and don't like them to do anything that sounds like advertising.

I ordered some Avon online before from someone I saw listed as a representative in a group online. I'd never met him, and the items were shipped directly to me. I guess doing it online entirely would be similar to drop-shipping. I have noticed that his Avon books are placed in the post office on the table where people wrap their packages and go through their mail, so I guess he goes around and places his booklets in various public places, to draw business. I took a hint from him and dropped off some of my business cards while I was there  ;).

Hi!
I sell Avon from online and it seems to work fine for me. I blog from my website and post on pinterest and facebook and sometimes Instagram. Avon gives you a website that you send your customers to but making your own blog site really gets people to your site. I also leave business cards and books everywhere and people see them and just go online and order. Of course you dont get orders overnight when you only sale online but once you start getting traffic to your website the orders will start coming in. I have been sick for awhile so im still working on my new site and blog but you can see my website at npbeautyandbeyond.weebly.com/sell-avon and my blog at npbeautyandbeyond.weebly.com/buy-avon

If you decide to give it a try Im working on putting lots of info for new reps and you can always email me with any questions !

Yes, you can, and it is something that I quite like to do, because I know that I am unable to travel to take products to people, so this is a way that I can still sell but without having to do this. I am very active on social media, and it means that I can gather a lot of people who might like to buy from me. I have some customers who buy an awful lot of things, and it makes me happy that I can deliver the service that they want whilst still being able to earn money for myself at the same time.
