I know exactly what you meant and how you feel. Survey sites have never worked out for me. I can see a few cents here and there, but the amount of time I spent on doing the surveys were so much more  than a few cents. Then you are talking about reaching the requirement amount for cash out, I just gave up on all of them!

Survey frustration is common with every single survey site out there. The simple thing that most people realize is that the best of the best for survey sites don't want you joining. They're looking specifically for people that meet their demographics from the moment you sign up rather than for individual surveys. That's why people who join survey sites are making a huge mistake, at least with the general survey sites.

Yes, sadly I have found most of the online survey sites are not worth bothering with for one reason or another. What you describe happens far too often. OCassionally after spending 20 minutes or more on a survey you will find you are screened out...Please! I can think of better uses for my time!

I think sometimes some survey sites can time you out like Smile City points a New Zealand site and the points can be from 5 to 300 points and if it is timed, out then you do get some points which is a good thing, and the withdrawal is 3,300 points. The amount you get is $30 dollars and takes 4 weeks, but will change to PayPal, so wonder if that will be earlier, and make it more worthwhile to use the site for surveys as some can be short or long. I also use Opinion world which can time you out or not meeting the requirements so can be a waste when that happens, and the withdrawal of points is 500 which is quite good and get $10 dollars and goes to the PayPal account in two days time.

I've had the same experience as @Galmal lately, where I spend 15-20 minutes of my time filling out increasingly intrusive questions, and then am disqualified. I think it's BS, and a waste of time. I did sign up for Opinion Outpost, but haven't taken a survey with them yet, although I have gotten a lot of emails about surveys. I'm sticking with one particular site that seems legitimate, that I've done a few focus groups with in the past, and will try out Opinion Outpost, but if I don't have a positive experience with them, I'll probably give up on trying to find new sites, and stick with the one tried and true one I'm currently using.

I guess most of these survey sites don't care that they get a bad reputation because with the increased availability of the internet they have more applicants.

I don't think they help themselves because people do get tired of the 'tricks' they play and let's face it most of the people sign up are unemployed, part-time workers, students, stay at home moms, and the retired. Other people won't bother, so they limit themselves. I was offered a survey via my LinkedIn because they wanted a people in a specific field, and it was much better as it was worth my while and I wasn't wasting my time with screening questions.

I'm new to surveys.  I work from home so I thought that surveys might be a good way to spend my 'down time', while earning a bit of money on my breaks.  Good in theory.

So, I signed up for quite a few, and have been getting lots of invitations by email to complete the surveys.  However, I've been finding that I spend most of my time starting them, only to be screened out.

I'm finding myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the whole process.  Although I am making a little money here and there, the amount of time it takes to start ten surveys and only complete one, makes me wonder if it's all worth it.

Do others find this?  What percentage of surveys do you find that you're actually able to complete and get paid for?

I agree. I gave up on doing surveys a while ago because it was a total waste of my time. Apparently, I fall within a very generic middle America category that NOBODY is interested in,  because I rarely passed the screening to do the survey.

It was too frustrating and time-consuming. Plus, I don't care for most of the survey sites. They have too many rules and exceptions, and it seems like it is too much of a hassle for what you earn.

I have found surveys to be frustrating but there are still a couple of sites like Mintvine and Fusion Cash. I have been able to get paid several times on Mintvine but the last few weeks have been slow going. I am still going strong on Fusion Cash and I have been able to make over $100 over the last 2-3 months. They only have certain scheduled cash outs. There are other ways to make money besides surveys like offers and daily email. Most of the surveys I qualify for are $.75 plus you will get a cent for every survey you do not qualify for. I will stick with this one until I do not get any more money.

I have first hand experience with being frustrated with surveys
There are quite a few that I had given up on for a while but then soon after started them up again. They may seem frustrating when then happens quit this for the day, do some house cleaning and start over the next day. I have a whole list of surveys if you need help with finding some. It was frustrating for me at first doing surveys because I didn't know which surveys were good money makers.  Toward the end of my first year of surveys I did find two types of surveys I didn't want to participant in.  Those are sites that require combination offers and surveys/GPTs to redeem rewards, like Fusion Cash and Panda Research and sites that have high thresholds over 2500 points like Tellwut and RewardTV.

Before I sign up for any new survey site I read how to redeem rewards and if I see this two conditions I pass on them. I've gotten over not qualifying for a survey because I accepted the fact that I will not qualify for every survey that comes along.

Yes, I too hate that I have to wait for months, sometimes six months or so just to cash out like $15. I do surveys during my free time when I have nothing better to do. I would never think of making surveys my primary source of income.
Anyway, on the bright side, this money could come on a rainy day and save the day. Since you rarely even remember when to cash out, you could just be getting the money you earn on surveys on a bad day and have your day saved.

Well for me, most of the survey sites I signed up with always tells me that I'm not qualified to take the survey. So I have not really completed a survey before and the few I started were done half way.
My suggestions is if it is not fulfilling and satisfactory to you forget it or you will be frustrated

Yes, I'm also quite frustrated in surveys generally. Out of all the survey sites that I've signed up to, only Global Test Market that I've found quite decent. They're pretty consistent with their surveys availability but then I've screened out of more than half of the surveys that I took. So surveys should be used as an add-on to your main earning sites, unless you have a lot of luck with them.
