Leader board bonuses
« on: February 26, 2015, 11:49:49 AM »
Humanatic was one of the first work at home jobs I found.  I still go back to it from time to time, as the money is guaranteed if you put the work in.

I like their idea of having a leader board as an incentive.  The workers who make the highest amount in any given day get bonuses, which seems like a really positive idea to keep you motivated.

However, when I look at the amount of earnings the leaders have achieved, I often wonder how they actually manage it.  There were a couple of days last summer, where I probably put in around eight hours worth of steady work, and didn't come close to the top earners.  My accuracy is pretty good, so I don't often lose money on it.

I wonder what their secret is?  Do they work 20 hour shifts?  I'd genuinely like to know, because the bonuses for the top earners are relatively generous.

I also have wondered how their bonuses are so high. I do try with this site and my accuracy is good. But I don't know even when I plug away at it, it doesn't seem like my earnings are going up by much. I would love to know their secret though.

I heard that the auditors and the admins qualify for the leader board as well as th elowly minions so it's hardly surprising that the amounts they arrpear to earn don't correlate with your own average earnings. It would be far fairer to have separate leaderboards.

This leader board sounds similar to Crowdflower (Fusion Cash).  With Crowdflower there are different levels to achieve to get higher paying tasks.  I attempted some and was below 80% accuracy so I didn't advance.  Also the number of completed tasks could advance you to another level.

That would be my guess is that there are higher paying jobs available on Humanatic.  Maybe you can ask support how that works.

Ah, that explains a lot Missbishi.  I didn't realise that admin were on the leader board too.  That explains why I see the same names there so often.  It doesn't give the rest of us much chance to win, that's rather unfair.

MrsJones, you're right, there are higher paying jobs at Humanatic.  You can only progress to them if your accuracy is good enough in the 'starter' jobs.  I have the opportunity to choose some of the bigger earners, but I don't like them so much.  I worry that I will lose a lot of money if I make a mistake in these categories, as the higher the pay, the more they take from your earnings for errors. Maybe when I become more confident doing the higher paying jobs, I'll have more opportunity to get those leader bonuses.

Vi work on Humanatic off and on, but never pay attention to the leaderboard. I'm pretty sure I'll never make it based on the fact I don't do enough. I am curious to know how much do leaders see in bonuses? Does anybody know what the bonus pays?

I am just curious about something.  Is this Crowdflower the same thing or similar to the way that Mechanical Turk works?

Also aren't there other websites that use crowdflower as well?

What kind of tasks do they usually ask you to perform and my one concern would be if any of them required you to download
anything onto your own computer.  Since I us a Linux operating system instead of Windows I would be afraid that it could damage
my system somehow.

I think the referral bonus is being added to the score. If you had made a couple of good sign ups then I guess you will earn more than the average worker there. I also thought that the admins are included on the leaderboard to provide some sort of motivation
