Intolerance is so real, that more than one forum on Postloop has (or had) the practice to revoke anyone not playing along the forum owner on his taste for certain foods.

I am also the kind of person who joins a new forum fearing a low rating that might affect my overall score.

That fear exists in all Postloop members because a bad rating can mean that we can no longer earn any money. Sure, it's an incentive so that we post better, but I'd prefer to understand the reasons behind the rating.

I saw on the support forum today someone was banned as the owner complained about them. They made one liners, but then decided to delete them. The owner thought he was getting points even if he deleted them, (not the case) but in the end the PL owner banned his account totally.

Just goes to show, even if you try to delete a post or thread and an owner who is picky sees it, they will still report you.

Sadly, I have seen people get banned for the dumbest things ever. It just goes to show you that it doesn't even really matter if you do everything right, there will still be some jerk of an owner who decides to ban you.

These are the reasons why I'm so wary of joining new forums now. I'm glad that I was never aware of all these petty issues when I first joined PostLoop because I would have been paranoid about being treated so shoddily. I guess for me now it's a matter of better the devil you know! I know I could earn quite a fair bit more, but I just don't want to risk it LOL

If you have received a rating that you feel is unfair, then you should get in touch with the PostLoop admin team, and they might investigate it for you. It is not fair for you to have to lose money because of an unfair rating, so you should definitely try to do something about it if you can. I have found that the support team are helpful in situations like this, so it is certainly worth getting in touch with them to see if there is anything that they can do for you.

Yes, I got banned from one once, because the forum owner didn't think I was reading the posts. I was actually, but it was a topic that I didn't know a great deal about. I also quit one once, because a forum owner gave me a low rating. In general though now. I stick to the forums that I feel comfortable with. It is probably the best policy.

That was a bit harsh! If that was the case I know many posters that ought to be banned. While there is a standard, sometimes when people use vernacular you're not used to, then it's hard to respond.

Only last week someone responded to one of my posts with 'Facedesk' and that was it, I didn't know what he meant really. Anyhow, some owners expect people to understand their niche and sometimes you can wing it and other times you can't.

I hope they didn't rate you and just banned you instead.

This is very true! There was a time when I was posting on a forum I was really interested in, and when I reached around 4 posts I suddenly saw bad reviews about the owner of the forum on the internet. It turns out the said owner gives really low and unfair ratings (at least according to the reviewers). While I'm confident that my posts in that forum were lengthy and well-thought of, I didn't want to risk my bonus so I unsubscribed for fear of lowering my score. :(

I don't think the forums I had trouble with even exist anymore in terms of Postloop, so they may not even be on the site. Maybe I was not the only one who had trouble with them. I read the requirements for joining the site, and if someone starts giving me trouble now, I just quit. It is not worth sweating over low ratings etc. Lets be honest, most of us are not making that much money here to put up with annoying forum owners.

I think the power to ban goes to the head and it is often abused. I have seen posters banned for really small reasons, if they were real posters they wouldn't have been banned. It's like being fired and you think about it in real terms, that's $2 a week if you posted your maximum quota and it was active.

While they want specific content, then they should pay more. To me the concept is to have regular contributions and traffic and that's what they pay for. Anything else is a bonus.

I was banned from one of the sites, and I still don't fully understand why. I thought that my posts were substantial and I thought that I was adding to the conversations. I just figured, Oh well, and kept on going. There are so many more forums that it doesn't matter if I was banned from that one. I know that it lowers my score and that it makes it harder to make money, but I'm still able to make a few bucks everyday, so I'm not too worried about that one ban.

That happens, many times forum owners want something specific and it's not well explained, it has happened to me too and it's a sad moment.
