Twitter is good for a business or to raise your profile, but you have to be in the right time zone to get the best out of it, or be online then. Not only to post, but to respond, that's why automated tweets don't always work if there is no response.

I think Twitter is still popular with the masses, although the 160 character limit repels some people off of it because that is too short for sentence.
