Here is a new way to publish via Amazon. You submit a ready to publish book of 50,000 words or more (fiction only) and then it is considered for publication.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

There's a lot of small print and you can only submit one manuscript. It's worth looking at if you are thinking of self-publishing.

Thank you for sharing this! I tried Amazon before to publish my poetry and I knew a few friends who also did. Self-publishing through Amazon didn't really make a profit for any of us, but it was fun trying to learn a new thing and gain experiences.

It does sound pretty great for a lot of writers out there who are considering self-publishing. Anyway, thanks for informing us about it. Very relevant.

Thanks for sharing, @Alex....that's very kind of you. It's certainly something to file away for the future. I have considered writing and having something published, but not right now because I have my hands full.

This is nice thanks for sharing. I use to write quite a bit but it sure has slowed down. I kind of feel like writing something just to submit to that and see how it goes.

Thank you Alex. I think in order to make a profit on any kind of book, eBook or novella you have to do a lot of promotion first. I just wrote an article promoting some novellas on Amazon. I think if you read about profiting from these ventures there are formula's that those who are successful follow. It has to be something the public has an appetite for too.

Yes, I know that it's possible to publish an e-book on Amazon.  In fact, I have done it in the past.  Needless to say I didn't get too far in selling it.  Just publishing doesn't insure success in being able to get people to read the book.  There are many individuals out there who are now doing self publishing out there, so the market is saturated.

Sweet! I've been looking to get my novel published and although I'd much more prefer it to be published through standard channels, I don't mind the self-publishing route either. I'll definitely shop it around first, but it's so great to know that there is an option like this.
