More Testing Websites
« on: January 06, 2016, 12:28:41 AM »
I am sure most people are already familer with: Usertesting, YoyEye, WhatUserDo and others. I was able to find a site called UsabilityHub which is interesting. There is no recording of your face or voice. These test mostly are question related to the site you may be looking at or choosing what you like best. The pay is low 10 cents per task but these test are usually less than one minute. I can do most in 20 seconds or less.

The second site I came across is called Testbirds. This one is international as far as I know. I had to take a test which they will mark to see if I get in. This one is writing and uploading pictures of what you are doing or how you got somewhere. You can also submit bug reports, etc. This one looks cool and pays in Euros. I wanted to mention these to people who like usability type testing.

I hope these help people out. Testbirds is more work but appears to pay more for your time. So I wanted to ask though does anyone know of anymore companies that pay you to do usability testing or submitting bugs, etc? Or even website reviews?

Well my sample test for Testbirds was a success. They let me know that I get invited to test and I may not get invites right away. So it could be a while I guess. Glad to see it looks and feels legit though. Does anyone know of anymore test sites to add to this thread?

I am not familiar with these testing sites and have not working for any of the testing site either. This sounds very interesting. Ten cents a test is low but I believe we are usually getting paid lower than that doing other things. This could be time consuming if you want to make a dollar a day doing tasks!

I haven't heard of these sites, but I enjoy working on UserTesting.com although the tests are coming in slow, but I think this is because I'm from South Africa and I don't qualify for a lot of the tests. I'm also registered at Userlytics but I haven't done any tests on that site. I will definitely try out these two mentioned above. Hopefully I qualify for more tests.

I did not expect the testbirds would take 45 or so to accomplish. After my registration I put that test for a later time as I have to try the other site. The other site on a quick glance looks easy but I did not have a clue what will happen after I take the quick test. Maybe I will check back later. Thanks for sharing.

I've signed up to a couple of these at one time or another. I recently joined testbirds and usabilityhub. Testbirds looks likely to be the one that pays better, though the tasks are harder. Usabilityhub looks like it will take a very long time before it cashes out so I might not do much on that. I've done a few tests already but I'm still a long way away from being able to cash out.

I have just heard about Usability Hub but have not heard of the other one. I haven't had a chance to check out UH but have heard that it is pretty easy and doesn't take up a lot of time for the tests. I think this would be right up my alley. Thanks for sharing these websites with us. I hope I can find out more about them soon.

These are both new to me, thanks for sharing. I have old technology, so I don't qualify for a lot of the testing sites, but I'll look into these to see what's required. Hopefully at some point, I'll be able to get upgraded equipment and will be able to use it to bring in some much needed income.

Everything but UserTesting is new to me.  Thanks for the recomendations.  I'm definitely putting them o my sites 'to try' list.  I need to massively overhaul my online earnings so I've got a whole folder of bookmakred sites to try.

IcyBc - The test on UsabilityHub are very quick. The preference and click test are seconds maybe 10 at most or more if you are looking at the page long I guess. The most time consuming would be the question test where you are showed a page and respond to 1-5 questions. Or a 5 second test where you are shown a page for 5 seconds then respond to a few questions. This is not a huge money maker it takes a bit to reach cash out. I been paid though so they are legit.

MelissavdW27 - I love Usertesting I have had great success there but you are right lately its been on the slow side for me too. And I have never got a test at Userlytics.

Blair - Good luck! I have had no invites with Testbirds yet. They marked my first test to see how I would do but that is it. Not sure when I might get an invite so maybe they are location based with test or a super slow earner...

Onionman - Yeah Testbirds requires so much more work with screenshots, uploading and whatever else compared to the other site. I am working on my 2nd cash out with Usabilityhub now but I probably won't make it until March or the end of Feb with my 2nd.

Moregoodie - Glad you will be checking them out and good luck. Yes the test on UH are very quick for the most part.

DianeLane - Are you running an old OS? The good thing about UsabilityHub is that the test are done in your browser and really you are just looking at a image of a site or logo and picking what you like or responding to questions. Testbirds as far as I could tell mostly requires writing steps of stuff your doing and screenshots uploaded. So in that case your equipment might work with both but I am not.

MakingCents - Nice I have a long "to try" list too.

What has worked well for me is leaving UsabilityHub open in one of my browser tabs and I refresh it while working on other sites to see if test come available. Some days I have a good amount other days not so much and weekends there is little to no test on that site.

Well thank you for this interesting information.  I have never heard of this website....seems like where you can find micro jobs and surveys here.  I will look into this opportunity.  I actually have been getting great information as to different sites.

I used to do Usertesting regularly several years ago. The money was great and I enjoyed the work. It was not uncommon for me to earn $100 a week from this job alone. I have not tried of work. any other testing websites, but I need to get back to doing testing for Usertesting and see if they still have plenty of work.

I am actually a member of Usability Hub, but Testing Birds is something new to me. So thank you for sharing this one! Anyway, my experience with Usability Hub is great. The tests are very easy to do and understand. Some tests just ask for your preference between two images. Some tests ask for more like what this particular area will do and so on.

But it's very easy work and you only need to be honest. I haven't cashed out yet since you need at least $10 before you can cash out. I haven't reached that amount yet since i'm a fairly new member. Can anyone attest to the reliability of this site when it comes to cashing out? I read that they review your works before accepting your cash out.

I would try and register for Testing Birds later and let you guys know how it goes! Wish me luck!

I am worried about usabilityhub as I requested a payout 11 days ago and still nothing... Is this normal?

As for testbirds, never heard of it until now, I am checking it out thanks!

I am in the process of meeting the minimum earning before cash out. I think this is has the most quickest and easiest tests that I had ever seen. My friends from the other forums say that they do review all your submissions and if there is a need to reject a few they will do it. I think that is what keeps it a bit longer.
