At this point I have already asked for a 2nd withdraw on usabilityhub and was not paid for the 1st one... Almost one month now.

On another note, trymyui is having quite a few tests these days, just got paid $80 yesterday for 8 tests. :)

Nope, no pay at all, but I am still waiting. Still today or tomorrow I will be asking for my second pay, so I guess that in June I will be getting that one lol. Either cases I hope it comes.

Still haven't advanced to testbirds, seems too complicated to be honest.

I am worried about usabilityhub as I requested a payout 11 days ago and still nothing... Is this normal?

As for testbirds, never heard of it until now, I am checking it out thanks!

I was just wondering if you ever got your payment from UsabilityHub. I guess they manually check your responses so it takes a while. I have waited over 3 weeks for my money to come before. I will admit it is a tad annoying but the site is legit so I don't care as long as I get paid for my effort.

Well they have paid me everytime with no issues so I am sure it will come. I know my very first payment took a long time maybe over a month since then its been quicker but still kinda long. Yeah I don't know how I feel about Testbirds they want you to take screenshots and upload them of what your doing, I am surprised they don't just have recording software like Usertesting. Anyways someone had reviewed my test to get in and said I did okay to work on more screenshots or something... I forget what all they said but I haven't got invited to a test since then so maybe that will be another site that in the long run doesn't work out for me.

Well since that first payment has taken so long I am sure it will come soon. And congrats on the 2nd one! :) And grats on Trymyui test, I will have to go check my submission test and see if that is why I don't get any.

This thread opened up a whole new world for me. I hadn't ever heard about earning by testing websites and it's something I'll definitely look up. I've already written down all of the websites you listed and I'll try them out in the next few days. I hope they are not only for US citizens, it would be a pity. I seem to understand that Testbirds is open to worldwide users, I'll sign up after I'll finish the article I'm working on, if their test takes 45 minutes, it'll have to wait until I'll be done. Thank you for the great suggestions!

I am very glad this thread has helped you! Usertesting I do believe is International but it does require you to download their program to record your screen as you do the test and you need a microphone to speak.  Still a lovely site that and pays decent and quick.

I'm not sure how i missed this thread, but thanks for starting it up @WortAtHomeGal :) having been on UsabilityHub for a while now (again because of a thread you started :) ) I'm quite happy there, even with the delayed payments. I really want to test the water with more user testing sites, even if it means more work, and I'll be looking into a few mentioned here. Thanks everyone for your contributions :)

For some reason, I haven't been able to test with TrymyUI in quite a while. i don't know if the new recorder is incompatible with my equipment or not, because they haven't responded to my inquiry.

I used to do Usertesting several years ago and I was very pleased with how much work they had at the time. I am not at all familiar with the other places, but I will definitely check them out. Thanks for posting them!!!

So I went and tried the sites, and so far Test Birds has been working for me! I've made 30 Euros so far with them, much more than the other testing sites that I use. Thanks for this thread!

Have you installed the new recorder? They have a new one. Also, what operating system does your computer have?

Well congrats! I have yet to get a paid test with them though I did do the first one to get accepted or whatever. Well that is quite awesome I may go back and check the site out I have not been there in quite some time.

This is why I like coming here when I have a chance.  I find out about websites and other ways to make money that I haven't heard of before.  UsabilityHub sounds interesting to me.  Yes, it doesn't pay as much as the others per test but from what I am hearing here the test are simple.  Also, I can't really sign up for too many of these user testing websites because my computer doesn't have recording capabilities.  So, I am limited to what kind of websites I can sign up for, and this one does sound like a good fit for me, thanks from letting us know about it.

Appen does web site evaluation which is similar to user testing. They accepted me, but then said there was no work, where I was located!!! Huh? That is just the way things go for me. If it is general web site evaluation, I don;t see why. Anyway, I have slowly been checking out these user testing sites.

Thanks for all this great information. I do have a couple of questions on this if anyone might know. Why is a microphone/webcam required on these sites? The only one I'm familiar with is usertesting.com. I have not signed up yet, maybe I'm a little squeamish about being filmed or recorded! How long does a task take to complete? I also wondered if it matters that I tend to run a bunch of stuff all at the same time if that would interfere.

I haven't tried testbirds or appen just yet, so thanks for sharing, I'll give it a go. What sort of jobs have you done to get paid on testbirds?

Luckily not all of these sites require use of a webcam or mic. Usertesting which I have used many times downloads a recording device to your computer so when you start the test it records your computer screen (not you) and you need a mic because during their test you speak. Useresting does pay more for your time though $10USD per test. And sometimes there may be more compensation if its a really long test. They also have quick 5 minute peek test which pay $3USD.

YouEye is a site that requires recording your face and voice. I have done about 7 test with them and they pay $12 per test. But lately they have no test.

UsabilityHub is just task like test so nothing is recorded. And when I did my test on Test Birds nothing was recorded there either.

Usertesting test take me 10 minutes or less normally the odd time a bit more. Hope that helps :)

Well done. I am also from South Africa and do testing on the side. May I suggest Utest as I have received more than $50 from them and I have almost daily tests that I partake in. Another option is to apply at Lionbridge, I received $264 for just one test I did there, took me 16 hours, but still, that is good money.
