News-Unite
« on: February 12, 2016, 06:13:56 PM »
Has anyone heard of or dealt with News-Unite? Basically they claim that you read news articles for money. But the articles are just headlines, not full articles. You have to reach a minimum of $2300 before you can cash out, and you get paid $5 per "article" that you read. Sounds too good to be true and it definitely is. I've tried them out even though I have read that they don't pay out (stupid, I know). But I can't really understand what the scam is though? I've reached the minimum and requested a payout and it's been almost a month and I didn't receive the money. I didn't really expect to be paid, I just wanted to see for myself what's going on there. Do you know the site and do you know what the scam is there?

I have never heard of News-Unite before, but through reading your post, I already knew it's just pure scam. The minimum payout threshold is $2300, and that's way too much. Be more careful and attentive next time.

Thanks for the warning, and WHOA..$2,300 threshold before getting pay? That is absurd. Sometimes, we just have to take a risk in order to make money. At least now you have the experience and can tell when it is too good to be true!

You may want to add them to the scam and blacklist site listed below Melissa. I mean who is going to wait until they have 2,300 dollars to be paid anyway. I don't have that time to waste. Some of these sites just seem to look for those who are a bit gullibe and take advantage. I am not saying you are, but some people new to online earning might be.

LOL it is quite clear that it is a scam from the kind of money they claim they will dish out. $2300 for just reading articles is totally dis-believable. Most of these online reading and click sites generate money from the ads they show to you while you are reading or clicking on stuff, and no ad company is going to give $5 for an impression. Do not even think of going there.

So you actually reached the cash out threshold of $2300? That's amazing. Any programs, websites, assignment that has high cashout threshold is a scam. I salute you for you tried knowing they will not pay.

It took about 2 or 3 weeks to get to the threshold, and I logged on a bunch of times during the day to read the "articles". I wanted to see what it's all about because you don't pay anything up front so I was curious to see what the scam was.

To be completely honest, I am a bit gullible when it comes to online earning because I'm very new to this. With my first child, I didn't know there are sites that actually pay you for doing online work, and I was coaching cheerleading at the time for extra income. But now with my second child, I'm not coaching and saw an ad somewhere for online earning and that got me thinking that somewhere there should be a legitamite site for online earning.

I'm guessing maybe some company or someone gets paid for people signing up for their site or viewing ads. I can't think of another way they'd be scamming.

I have never heard of this site but that would be awesome if they paid out that kind of money. If it only took you 2-3 weeks to reach $2,300 imagine the possibility. It is a shame that it has to be a scam. Thanks for sharing your experience with us for future knowledge.

As we all know this site is a scam site! When I did a Google search, and clicked on the link, there was nothing there now, and then I found this link: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I think before we join any new sites, we should use the scamanalyze.com to check, or read some of the things that people have written about them..

2 or 3 weeks? Now that's the most "too good to be true" site if I ever heard one. I don't really blame you for joining though because you don't lose anything if you join them, only a little bit of your time. I'd probably joined them too if I found out about them before reading this thread.

any site that offers this much as a payout is a scam and it is just sad that it takes so much time out of your day to do these thinking you might actually make money for all the time spent working there. Sorry that this has happened and you should report it so that they don't irritate anyone else but I do like the idea of the scam checker as this could save u all a great amount of time and energy instead of focusing on the scam we could actually be doing something far better.

So I had to Google News-Unite because I haven't tried it. Anyway, based on most reviews, it's most likely a scam. Users have claimed that they haven't been paid by the site. The scam might likely be the following:

  • They use the supposed emails and send out spam to people or probably sell the emails on other sites that will also likely spam the emails.
  • It's definitely hard to hack PayPal or Payza accounts but yeah, that's another possibility. They might be trying to hack into such accounts, that's why they require you to have valid PayPal or Payza accounts.

They are probably making money through ads on the site though. So that's why they trick users into those ridiculously high payment rates. Usually, if a site is too good to be true, it is. Try to research first before believing in one website because there really is a lot of scams out there.

Paying $5 per article read is clearly not a sustainable model.  I wouldn't bother with any paid to read that was over 2-3 cents per item read, just because I know there is no way the site is going to earn enough from the advertisers to pay any more than that.

I would also stay away from payout thresholds that are more than $30.  Any higher, and the chances are very good that the site is rigged so they will never have to pay anyone.

What are you proving after reading the headlines? Reactions to the subjects or working of them? If so, the scam is the company's probably giving feedback provided by you and others to the originators of the headlines, and accepting pay for that information, without paying out to those doing the actual work.
