Your positives lately from working at home
« on: April 19, 2016, 02:21:47 AM »
Well, things have been pretty good here lately. Got accepted for a short forum that is a market research thing this week - it's $30 for 5 days of just answering small questions about products. I also got two articles (unpaid) published in a local newspaper, I know it's unpaid which can be frustrating, but it's all about building a writing portfolio now which is important to me. The editor was happy with my content and said I write well, so that was a confidence boost too!

My other sites have been going steadily which is good too - no massive earnings but I guess as they say, slow and steady wins the race (at least that's what I'm telling myself!)

What are your positives lately from your work at home?

Congrats on making more inroads into the world of working at home!

On a personal note, I haven't made any major new advancements as such. What I have come to realise, however, is that there are a huge amount of opportunities out there if you do your research, market yourself and apply yourself.

At the moment, I'm simply consolidating some regular work I've got through PeoplePerHour. Once I'm fully up and running / properly trained on that, then at the very least that gig becomes a very decent part-time role, if not more. Once I've got that properly aligned I'll go hunting for more regular opportunties.

I'm still struggling with the standard issues - motivation, admin, focus and so on - but I can see plenty of opportunities out there.

Can you share the name of the company that has you answer product questions? I love doing product testing, and have had many sent to me through Pinecone Research. As for free writing, yes, unfortunately that happens. I submitted a short story many years ago and the only person that accepted was a free site. You have to start somewhere, right?

Congratulations. I have also had two articles published for a parenting website. My fiance has joined me in working online and we have achieved our goal amount for the month with more than a week to spare so that is good. I got a review writing job because of some forum posts and I have started as a game tester for Lionbridge, which is awesome.

It has been the same for me but in a good way. I gave up on the tasks that are just a waste of time because they do not pay well. I continued on with those that provide a steady flow of income and focused my working time solely on them. I stopped searching

Well I can say reading this was really inspiring! I love your attitude about building a writing portfolio, that is very true. And congrats on the forum market research thing you mentioned that sounds like a lot of fun. Right now I am focusing time on micro task sites, surveys and posting to forums since those have been earning the best for me. I am also looking for more ways to earn though. Right now a positive I am thinking of is that it is good that some of my favorite sites have not shut down that is always nice.

That is great news and sounds like you are starting to see some success in your life. I have been working on a long term article writing project and the money has been nice. I cleaned out my online work sources and now am devoting my time to a few that are proving to be good ones. I am not working on the time waster sites anymore.

Well the flexibility is always the greatest thing. I do love that. It would be really pretty hard to go back to a regular job with a set schedule at this point.  I would love a work at home job that had more earnings and more of a schedule though. I guess the other thing is that it is kind of exciting thinking that you might find the key to make some good earnings, and have the wonderful choice to work at home.

I have not been very active with my online endeavors.  I would love to get the information about that new job you got..and congratulations on that.  I have been looking for similar opportunities.  I actually have been doing surveys that are sent to my email, they pay pretty well.  I plan on getting back in the swing of things.

I was also in a product review forum for a week and now I am writing on another product review forum that I have been working on for months. I found out that they gave me a $5 bonus Amazon gift card for last month and my boyfriend just told me today that we are going to Hawaii in August! Today has been a good day.

Congratulations on your new gig. It's always reassuring and encouraging news to hear that other online freelancers are coming across cool opportunities such as these.

So far, things have been pretty steady for me and have no complaints. I'm just glad that I can work from home and look after my elderly folks.

Congratulations on doing so well with your online work. It is encouraging to hear the positives about working online and makes me want to continue with it. I am still relatively new at earning online and am still searching for my money maker, but I have been holding steady with what I have been doing. I think that not having to work with the public is my positive about working from home. I get to do the work on my own schedule and be my own boss.

Congrats on your positives! Sadly, everything has been kind of down lately for me. It came to a point where I got very frustrated and went for days without doing online work. I know, I know... It's not good to abandon work but you know sometimes, it's just frustrating to do your job well but have people who can ruin that momentum. That even if you do what you're supposed to do and do it with effort, there are still some people who can put you down. I just wish these people the best even though they constantly rain on my parade.:/

Anyway, right now, I'm contemplating on finding new job opportunities. It's kind of hard though when you're constantly working for pennies. I find myself working for hour and hours only to get 5 dollars a day. Isn't that a bit downgrading on my part? Sigh... I just wish I have the courage and patience that you have.

I have signed up to Dollar Tracks a get paid to site which pays you when you get $0.25 cents which is the cashout minimum and have done that quite a bit this site started last year, and only joined in March this year the surveys are worth 50 points which is nice and you can also put money in the vault bank and let it grow by interest by 7 percent. Once 45 days have passed then you can use it and withdraw to PayPal which takes a few minutes to 24 hours and at the moment the site is getting a makeover as the previous look was not that good, and also only one cashout a day and some other issues so hope the site is back on this week. I have been doing well-doing mystery shopping work and making around $80 to $150 a month and get paid a few weeks later for the jobs which is nice and also do Smilecity surveys a Nz site and the withdrawal is 2,000 points which is $20 dollars and surveys range from 100 to 250 points and there are focus groups where you can earn money as well.

There's not much of a huge progress for me so far. The positives about working online for me has always been the convenience aspect of it. It's flexible and you can do it whenever you have free time to do it. The earnings that you get is also quite flexible depends on the site.
