Tellwut Is Worth My Time
« on: May 22, 2014, 01:34:01 PM »
I usually only do surveys that pay in cash with Paypal or sometimes with Amazon gift card because I buy so much of what we need there.

Tellwut is the exception, though... these are not the usual "surveys" and they're like little short multiple choice quizzes... 1 to 6 or 7 questions usually.  One question "surveys" get 5 points, two or more questions get 10 points.   There are 50 extra points a week available from a weekly newsletter they sent out.

The points add up fast.  Although this is a Canadian company, my gift card (I always choose WalMart... hope they soon have Paypal available!)  always arrives without a problem.  It generally takes about two weeks or so to arrive, but I've never had a problem with it.

I always wait for 10,000 points (quizzes are available constantly) and order a $25 WalMart card.   I think 4,000 points can cash out, too, (for $10 gift cards)  but it doesn't seem worth it to me, so I wait.

This site appeals to me, as I'm located in Canada and many of the other online money-making sites are all US-based. I'd never heard of it until just now, but have checked it out and it does seem legitimate. I did one of the surveys for fun and it gave me 10 points, but then I realized that I needed between 50,000-250,000 points if I wanted to cash out for a decent reward (gift card/tablet). At the rate I was going, I'd need to do thousands of surveys to make enough for a reward. What was your strategy for gaining points faster? Are there alternative ways to earning points than just the daily surveys?

Sadly, I am located in the United States. I am going to assume that the payouts are only for Canadian residents? I would love to look into this if it goes for US citizens as well. =)

I guess it depends on what someone calls "decent reward."   My $25 WalMart card every 10,000 points is much better than most survey places offer.  I get my groceries at WalMart and if I save 3 or 4 of those cards to use at once (they never expire)  it's a fun grocery trip.   :)

As far as tips... I just check in a few times a day and there are always new surveys.  They send that email every Friday for 50 extra points, and some "bigger" surveys come in the email, too.   The first night I sat down with this,  I got hundreds of points because they just kept coming.

I've not ever heard of this site, so thank you for that! I shop at Wal-Mart all the time anyway, so the gift card would work for me. I think it's a good idea to wait on points also, 2 weeks for $10? Nah.

No... I'm in the U.S., too.  What I meant was that even though my gift cards are shipped from Canada, I've never had a problem with the mail or the amount of time it took for them to arrive to me.

Ok, I think it's worth a look!  Even just to try it once.  Sometimes things are more worth the time to some people.  Thanks for sharing and thanks for the tips.  Do you get any referral bonuses?

Do I personally... no.   Do they offer referral bonus... not sure.   :)   But let me go check.

Okay, it looks as if you earn 25 points for signing someone up, but I can't really see if you keep earning as they earn.  I'm thinking maybe not but if you find out differently, let me know.

I think that it's very simple and easy to do. But sometimes it does get boring just answering questions, its seems like forever reaching your goal. But if you keep answering questions it adds up pretty quickly. I don't think its anything else out there that is as easy as Tellwut.

I have being reading great reviews about this site however when I checked it out it's not open to international users(Jamaican). I'm rather sad was hoping to cash out a few dollars there.

Very true... it's certainly nothing like the other survey places that usually take at least 15 or 20 minutes for a few points if you even qualify... and I often don't.

I've found that Tellwut adds up fast, yes... especially if you remember to do those weekly email extra 50 points.  I usually don't qualify for the longer email surveys, but it still adds up fast on the site itself for spending very little time there.

I *do* have to remember to check it multiple times a day, though, and there are always new ones to do taking just a few minutes.

I love this site I am 800 points away from getting a $25 dollar Wal mart card. I don't find it very time consuming since the surveys are quite easy and straightforward. I think it is a nice site, so I will keep doing it for that reason.

This sounds like a good opportunity.  I normally stay away from survey sites because they are too time consuming and I never seem to qualify for any surveys.  Sometimes, I don't find out I am not qualified for the survey until I am almost half-way through it.  I will definitely look into Tellwut.

I live in the United States and I also enjoy Tellwut. Its nice that to know that I have a site I can go to each day for guaranteed points. They also send third party surveys as well as invites to other panels. The points seem to add up quickly and I can see myself cashing out once a month easily. The first time I cashed out, I went for a $10 Amazon card and was so surprised that they needed to mail it to me. It took a couple weeks to even ship out but it did get to me. It was enclosed with a letter that said all future gift cards will come via email.

I do like the fact that the surveys are user generated because that makes them very interesting and sometimes downright weird. I have created one survey myself so far but I much prefer just doing everyone else's surveys. Tellwut is a website that I refer people to if they want to do surveys but can never seem to qualify. You don't have that problem over there and I think that's awesome. Also, they send out a weekly email on Fridays with 50 free points. No other website does that and I think its very cool!

Does anyone actually read those really really long survey questions with like 20 questions or do you just rip through them & put N/A's all the way through?. Moreover I don't know if I am the only one not getting any credit for those surveys. Maybe I am doing something wrong here.
