uTest
« on: May 03, 2016, 04:46:34 AM »
Just registered for uTest and a good opportunity came up:

Hi uTester!

We have a project running this week and are urgently looking for testers with corporate and business cards from the following banks. This project will be taking place by the end of this week. Details below:
•   Bank of America
•   CitiGroup
•   Capitol One
•   Wells Fargo
•   US Bank Corp
•   HSBC
This project carries a payout of $200 for less than 15 minutes of testing. Testing doesn't require any experience, and there is currently a referral bonus program running. If you know anyone with these cards, and they fit all requirements and complete testing, you may be eligible for a $50 referral bonus. If you meet these requirements, or are looking to refer someone, please complete this survey.

Sadly, I don't qualify, best of luck to those who make it!

Thanks for sharing....this sounds like a fantastic opportunity! Sadly, I'm not eligible for it, but I sure wish everyone who tries for it the best of luck :) I mean $200 for about 15 minutes' work is far better than anything some of us do online! Good work if you can get it for sure!

Actually that site has quite a few offers, it's just a matter of registering, browsing through them and applying.

I was wandering if Utest is available for work for those outside the US and Canada.
Does anyone know?

I signed up with them quite a while ago, but haven't been back for some reason. I don't recall why I didn't go back. Perhaps they require up to date software, or require a video test, I'm not sure, but I'll have to take another look at the site.

Yep, it's available for all countries in the world. Quite a few projects are available just for specific countries outside US and Canada. Haven't made any money in the site though.

I am a bit confused but excited after seeing this post. I thought I made an account on Utest but don't recall ever getting any paid test to do. I am going to go back and check this out I have a feeling I ddi something wrong with the application process. Looks promising though.

The main issue there is that it seems that we need to be programmers to test for them, as they want us to look for bugs most of the time. There are some usability projects though.

I've actually been on uTest for well over a year and haven't done a single test! I think when I first signed up I didn't have a clue what type of testing was involved (i.e. I assumed it was like all the other consumer testing sites). It does seem that I'm missing out on opportunities though. I need to do some of their training sessions on bug testing and try to get a few gigs here and there. If I remember rightly they do tend to pay quite well.

It's not so easy as other testing sites because the requirements are really specific. There are loads of offers, but I don't seem to qualify to any of them.

Make sure you follow the tutorial and do your first non paid test cycle. After that is completed and rated start applying for different tests on the Projects board. You should get regular projects. I live in South Africa and get almost daily projects.

Serious Noreht? You get daily projects? I tried to do that test, but it seemed to be too complicated. Is it a site just for programmers?

I do get almost daily projects yes. A lot of the projects do not appear on the boards. You get invited after they review your profile. You can also quickly build up your reputation with the other tester and project managers if you do well in testing.

It is not just a site for programmers, but there are a lot of programmers on the site. There are various tests you can do and you only need to do tests that you have the skillset for.

Thanks for the answer Noreth... I understand the harder it to get started. They sent me that initial test or training, but it seemed like Chinese to me and I had no idea what to do. Can you help me with that?
