The CashChat.com
« on: June 11, 2016, 07:50:24 PM »
So I found this article that had a direct link to The Cashchat.com and holy virus. My entire PC locked up so badly. I had to restore it to the previous date just so I could access my PC again. I then find out from reading on other forums that it's pretty common for that to happen and many people that were actually doing chats before never got paid.

Usually, I don't check the site immediately. I look online and see whether there are reviews. If there are only bad reviews, I don't check the site, it thre are good and bad reviews,I check the site. I have antivirus installed on my computer, it immediately warns me if the website or the link I am following is suspicious. I have never been trapped by a website containing virus.

Yikes. I was actually going to go to that site but glad I read your post first! That is very annoying and upsetting sorry to hear that that happened to you. Sounds like a scam though if people are not getting paid and a virus is happening too.  :-\

Holy cow! I could have been a victim if I had been exposed with the link. I have an habit to check the link if it promises work and money. Unless the the offer sounds too good to be true, I will always check. So far, I have never encountered any virus while checking sites. I have a antivirus that immediately warns me if I am going to access malicious link.

I have never encountered a virus so far and therefore, I intend to be extra cautious with links. I have relied on my sixth sense to separate the wheat from the chaff. A reliable way of achieving this would be to read reviews in forums and other work from home websites. Start by writing the name of the site followed by the current year and even month to read the latest reviews since some hitherto straight sites can become scams over time. Its good to read reviews from about 3 sites to get the grind of opinion in order to make an informed decision.

Well that would be the way to go, and the story here is really a testament to that.  I cannot say that I do this, though, but I know that I should, and in that sense I have probably gotten a little bit lucky.  This one really does just sound like a scam, and I guess the only real way to combat them is to spread the word and heighten awareness to them.  So for that, I say thank you, but sorry to hear that you had to learn the hard way.

That's too bad. I have heard of this site a long time ago, I think I even had an account there, but I never really bothered to post there. Maybe the site is already abandoned that's why it had a virus? Because I know that the owner of that site runs several forums and they say he pays his members.
