Worked There!
« on: May 23, 2014, 12:13:56 PM »
I worked for Needle about a year or so ago doing the Norton line. It was hands-down my favorite WAH job that I've had. I'm not much for talking on the phone, but I do like helping people, and Needle melded that together. They do hire for several lines on and off quite frequently, I recommend them!

So Needle is phone based customer service?  Sounds like a good company, do they have any chat based?  I think my house is too noisy for something like that.

Sounds like an interesting gig! Would you be able to provide more information on it? What was the pay like? Was it a living wage or was it similar to other online "money for tasks" jobs that pay in the cents range? Did you need previous qualifications/job experience in call centers or other related positions?

Thanks for posting about this company! Hope to get some more info on them :)

Needle is chat-based support, not phone. You can make pretty decent money if you work the right hours. They've changed the way they pay their workers a few different times, but there is money to be made. I don't currently work there anymore, but I believe they now pay you a flat rate per chat that comes in, so you're likely to make more money working 'normal business hours' than you'd make working at 2AM.

Any other questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer them if I can.

Nice post, I'm glad you've found some success and willing to share. After checking out the site and reading your post it does seem pretty legit. If it pays good and is honest work I don't mind. I welcome any time of income. I'll check back to tell you guys my success.

When you say chat based, do you mean like an instant message type of thing? I've tried to apply to other chat based jobs, but they always refer to phone jobs as being chat based, which I'm not that big on. ::)

I may have to give Needle another try. I've been registered as a Needler for about a year now but have yet to get actual chat work. Part of this was my fault because I did not realize that you had to fill out individual brand profiles. However, for the brand profiles I did complete successfully, nothing happened. So I am not sure if there is another piece to the puzzle that I am missing. But I will go on record saying Needle is a very good opportunity, and I would love to finally get the chance to actually work for them.

I have tried getting in with Needle and I never hear anything back from them, so I've pretty much given up hope with them. It sounds really good since I have three kids and summer is here so school is out. I'm attempting to find something to earn some money from home and I also do a merchandising job but right now it's only one day a month so that doesn't help out much financially.

Just wondering what their prerequisites are prior to joining? and for the record can one compare needle to humanatic{is it wrong to do so} or they are completely different from each other? :-\

I have not worked for Needle, but wanted to throw in my two cents on a few questions I thought I could answer.  One, it is my understanding this is computer chat based and not phone. The other is I read that the chats occasionally close and once that happens you don't get paid for your work. I gather this is a glitch in their system but it led to many upset workers as it appeared their wages were then less than $1/hour.

I love chatting with and helping people too, I think I would really like this..I still have to fill out my brand profiles, but this seems like a cool job! I love how they have so many different companies/brands that you can help with, so that everyone can use their knowledge! :)

I heard Needle mostly pay per chat these days rather than by the hour, so you typically end up working for less than before - is that correct?

And is it true that chats often end suddenly and you don't get paid for them? I've been reading some not-so-good reviews of this company lately! I was thinking of applying but now I'm not so sure, would love to hear from someone who has worked there recently!

I never knew that sites like this existed. I will check this one out and possibly look if there are any more sites like this where I could earn by chatting online.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of these informative posts. I have been registered with them since 2013 and I haven't heard a thing from them. I completed all of my training and testing but still nothing. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong really. I even emailed them last week and they never even bothered to return my email.

Oh well, I guess I will keep checking.
Thank you all again!!

Danyel :)

Any update on Needle? The application process looks quite tedious and no luck for me. How much work do they have is it enough for all their members ? I have heard there is not enough work anymore although some people are making good reviews about it before but I did not try.
