Disappointed with Crowdflower
« on: July 18, 2016, 05:09:20 PM »
Has anyone else tried crowdflower? I tried it out recently and I am epically disappointed. There are hardly any jobs there and I've only earned maybe 0.30 cents. It seems like a waste of time. I have noticed that MANY of the assignments are impossible to do. They send you to a link of a product that is out of stock or discontinued on Amazon and they want you to answer a question that can not be answered because you can't even see that information because the product is discontinued. Has anyone had success there?

I haven't used the site for many months because of the stricter nature of the micro tasks. You get penalized if you can't access a link and later it does come online as it did for me, so I see that as unfair and for a couple of cents it's not worth the hassle. You class it as unavailable, but the checker finds it is when the website is live again or has fixed the issue, then you are marked as a fail.

Some people like the site, but it's a matter of fastest finger first to get the jobs and personally I don't need that pressure for a few cents.

I have heard about this site however I have never used this. Generally, I don't use microtask sites because the payment is too low. You will have to do a tedious task to earn so little. I have once used a microtask site called microworker, However, I left the site because I was not credited for the task I completed.

I can't remember if I ever tried Crowdflower but I have also tried Microworkers and Rapidworkers which are generally the same in many ways. I have stopped working on them for several months now because just like what Alex and VinayaSpeaks said, I found it unworthy to be spending time on the tasks which only pay in cents and sometimes I would even spent a few minutes on just one task which would only pay me .05 cents. Maybe it does work for some but not for me. :)

Oh don't get me started on CrowdFlower!! I recently tried to start earning pennies via ClixSense and tried to access the CrowdFlower tasks, in vain. I'm not sure what exactly's going on there, but it seems a lot of people are unhappy about the lack of jobs, the rigidity of the tasks and the inability to progress from newbie to level 1 tasks. I fit it in the latter category.

I have scoured both ClixSense and Google for ways of qualifying for these tasks and I'm on the verge of throwing in the towel. Honestly, it's like the holy grail; this elusive entrance exam that qualifies you for level 1 tasks is simply NOWHERE to be found. -and it's not just me, A LOT of other people cannot find it ANYWHERE. I'm done with it and will now close down my ClixSense account because I don't see how I can earn anything if I focused solely on clicking on a few ads every day, which as we all know don't often exceed 20 for international workers. At  1 cent each, I'd just be wasting my precious time LOL

I signed up for Crowdflower under a website that turned scammy called Probux. It seems there was a partnership between Crowdflower and Probux that was supposed to diversify the earning opportunities of members of Probux. But it turned out that tasks were rare on my dashboard and I refreshed my account many times only to be told that there were no available tasks as at that moment. But when I looked at the table, I could see tasks that had been solved in the past. Whenever a task popped up, it looked next to impossible to solve because the information required could not be accessed even with an internet deep search.

I tried a couple of tasks over at Crowdflower, and for the money.  They will actually train you first before you start doing the other tasks.  Unfortunately the pay received is not worth the tasks completed, and in the end I stopped doing them because it is insufficient for my living expenses.  But then again, the microtasks have already been done by other long-time members, so there aren't any more tasks to complete anyway.

Crowdflower is one of those sites/offer walls that can be great but also terrible to participate in. There were several jobs in the past that paid small but you end up getting a big pay day from how good you was at that job. There were people who made hundreds off of those jobs but who knows how things are now.

Well you can add me to the list of people who are disappointed by Crowdflower.  I remember when I first heard of it and saw it I thought that was it, and this was the one that would really be big earnings, but that dream quickly faded away and I brought back to reality.  I probably quit a little too early, but then again I have not really heard much from it so I might have made the right choice.  On to the next one.  Thanks for sharing.

I tried crowflower for around two months and all I made was $2 in total, it never offers too many jobs and the ones that they offer are quite hard to do, with that being said, I do not really recommend that page as a money making site for anybody, it's a total waste of time.

That's one of the reasons why I don't really like doing small task sites, since they pay really low and can be time consuming as well. I have heard of Crowdflower, but since I have already been a member of Microworkers and I wasn't successful in working on it, then I just quit the site.

I used to like it when it was just getting big on some sites like swagbucks. They had a lot of work, but now they do not have that much work or they make you sign in and it is so complicated to do the tasks. I have tried to do tasks on instagc, but they were never paying so I stopped using them. It was good when it was good.

This site is one of the worst,  and I think those who write good reviews  need their heads testing. It's  not a good earnere, the hoops to get  a task done are numerous,  plus some are scam sites. To me, most are cheap ways to gain SEO, under the guise of testing.

I think that you have to kind of give them their respect for being around for this long, and I remember way back when finding them and thinking that it was a good option.  Sure enough though, it just was not for me, but hearing that it is out still out there is pretty surprising.  Must be doing something right.
