A New Social Blogging Site
« on: July 21, 2016, 11:09:04 AM »
Recently, a new social blogging site has been launched. It reminds of Bubblews and contains features of Blogjob, once a high paying site but now defunct. It is too early to say whether it will pay or not. But there is no harm in giving it a try. It is called Blog Bourne You can access through blogbourne dot com.

A social blogging site... Well that's a thought. People keep coming up with interesting ideas. I'll have to check out that site and see what it's all about. Thanks for sharing. Well i just did (check them out) and I'm posting the following fromt the site for anyone else who may view this thread... "Our Long-Term Goal
Blogging is not an overnight fortune or  way for easy money, it tooks time and effort (use it for socializing and learning but you should not depend on it for a living unless you run a self-hosted or independent one). And those who believe  in long term goals, BlogBourne is one of the right place for you."

I've signed up, do you have any idea when they say they will start paying?

Initially the owner indicated that they would only start paying two months after the official launch (August 1),  but he has since said it's possible that the waiting period may be reduced to one month.

The problem with such social blogging websites is that they do not have a well thought out model and therefore, are pretty confusing when it comes to payout.

Also, because of the lack of a proper model, they aren't always continued because sooner then later owners realize that the business model is flawed and there goes the payments and the hard work which you have put into it.

I am not saying all are such, but opt for these with a pinch of salt, knowing the risk.

Nice, well I guess I'll write a few pieces and see how it goes in the next few months!

My friends and I are still observing after we signed up on this site. Kind of letting the others test the water first before we get committed to blogging again. Perhaps, previous experience has made us more cautious now. I had seen blogjob, beermoneynation, literacybase and heard of bubblews. I hope the owner/s of this new site is pretty much well informed about the fate of the sites that I just mentioned.

You can add Tsu and ChatAbout to the list of failed sites. Both have disappeared since the beginning of this month, and we're not yet three days into August.

I've also signed up and I'm observing, doing a bit of reading and commenting but not much writing. For the moment I think I'll concentrate on my own blogs. They may not earn much but at least they're not likely to disappear.

Chat about went under?  Grrrr.  I haven't been there in weeks but I was pretty sure I only needed like 10 points to cashout.  Dang it!

A part of me wants to trust these new sites, but another part is concerned that I'm just risking being cheated once again. As I said yesterday, Tsu and ChatAbout have just joined the long list of failed sites. I wasn't a member of Tsu, but I'd been at ChatAbout for over a year and was ready to cash out. If I'd requested my money on July 31, when I crossed the $5 mark needed to redeem, there's a chance I'd still have been paid.

All the signs suggest that BlogBourne's owner is trying to learn from the mistakes others have made, and it's possible that the site will prove to be legit, but I have a nasty suspicion that members are earning a lot less than they think they are.

I can only trust the site if they state the terms and conditions clearly. One issue facing such sites is the fact that they follow the model of other similar sites which have gone bust in the past without learning the weaknesses of the former. They should be at a position to integrate an income stream independent of revenue generation from such sources of income as Google Adsense to ensure their longevity.

I was told about this site before it even launched. I don't know how my friend even knew, but I went over and registered quickly because I thought if they were being inundated, they may close for registrations. Since it launched, a lot more people I know have joined, but I'm a bit hesitant to start because there seems to be some confusion around a few things.

I am skeptic about this site, therefore, I am less active. The moderators are making hard to publish articles They want super fine articles, however, they have not announced the pay rate.  They want a perfect article, now who want to spend hours polishing an article for the site that does not yet have a payment rate.

I think I will just wait and see what happens. Normally, I am game to try out new sites. However, at the moment, I have my plate full, so to speak. So, I will sit this one out. Please do keep us updated on any developments. I am especially interested when they have finally worked out the payment scheme.
