teleNetwork

I have noticed that most of the jobs in this thread are contract or piece work. I prefer the good ole hourly, schedules, W2, benefits type work. I have been with telenetwork doing tech support and customer service for about 6 years now and love every minute of it!

The training for the engagement is not very long, however, working on the phones is where you learn how to be successful. Must be a multitasker! I would not trade this for anything!

Please elaborate on the site, is it worldwide or another of those run of the mill geotargeted sites? It sounds nifty and I guess it would a worth a try. Otherwise, I love piecework sites because you can start and stop at your own convenience and you aren't humstrung for time.

I've heard good things about this site.  Unfortunately, there is nothing for California.  It seems like there never is.  In any case, I'm glad you're enjoying this company, and it seems to be working well for you.  Keep us posted if you hear about any other companies like this.

That's a bummer. Maybe they should expand their job offers so that offshore freelancers can also have a piece of the pie. The site does offer jobs that Americans who want to own their time should consider, however. There are so many firms like teleNetwork in my home country but the difference is that a number of them are office-based. Rarely do you see work-from-home setups.

Sounds like an interesting opportunity.  Of course, it is not here in my state, but that is just how it seems to go most of time, so I cannot really say that I am surprised at all.  An hourly position might be something that I would need to know a lot more about though, so I just hope that people out there are doing their homework and research beforehand.

Yes Larry. People should do their research for any job that is work at home. However, there are a great many legitimate companies out there that do call center or hourly work and offer work at home. From companies like Apple and Frontier to companies like the one I work for. But yes, always make sure you are dealing with a legitimate company.

Illinois was just added this week as a new state that the company I work for hires from.

(Please note that I just love my company and am not a recruiter. I work in a call center environment doing entry level tech support.)

I just found out that, if you live in the San Marcos/Austin metro areas, they do have in house positions available. (It is a great client with neato perks!)
