Is Hubpages Still A Go To Site For Online Writers?
« on: August 25, 2016, 04:47:24 AM »
Hello everyone! :)

Lately I haven't been hearing a lot about Hubpages anymore. I'm guessing that it's because the site has been operating for a long time now that's why the hype regarding the site is no longer that high. Does anyone from this forum still write for Hubpages? How are your earnings nowadays?

I gave up there quite a while ago, but I do go in every now and then to see if my hubs are still featured or not. I think the formatting of a hub takes too long, as you can't just cut and paste your article and then the process to be reviewed is all about SEO factors rather than content.

I didn't feel the community on the forum was that nice either, and there are too many restrictions so it negates a natural article and writing style.

That's also one factor that I think hinders me from writing a good article, the focus on SEO. Although I know that SEO is still important, the quality of work I produce gets affected because of it. I guess that's why I don't really prefer SEO focused writing, because I'm more of a quality content type of writer. I find that my ideas and thoughts flow freely if I don't focus too much on doing SEO. :)
