Selling on Amazon better than eBay?
« on: August 30, 2016, 09:06:03 PM »
I keep hearing some rumblings that selling on Amazon can be significantly better than eBay. I'm just wondering if Amazon still has some of the major problems eBay has with buyers lying about item's not being shipped/received. My cousin nearly had his eBay shop shut down because of this guy buying a high priced item and lying about not receiving. They froze his PayPal and completely messed up his finances for that month.

Knock on wood, I have never had a problem selling on eBay. And I have made some really good money doing it. I am about to launch a new effort at house cleaning and planning to sell lots of stuff on eBay. I also have items that are brand new that I want to try to sell on Amazon. I actually have a small inventory of kitchen gadgets. They are very quality stuff and I cannot decide about whether to try Amazon for these or stick with eBay. What I have noticed about Amazon is that if someone introduces an item and it becomes a hot seller, Amazon itself will pick up that item and offer it at the lowest price. Basically putting the little guy out of business. So I may just stick with eBay for my kitchen gadgets. Or may put a little of it on Amazon and just see how it does. I want to restock and keep selling.

I think the thing is that Amazon has a much better reputation than eBay, and, from what I've heard, with good reason.  Personally, I have had good experiences with Amazon, both as a customer and a seller.  eBay isn't as well-regulated as Amazon from what I can tell.  I think you would have to do your research and see what works best for you, personally.

I have never sold anything on ebay. The only thing that I have sold on ebay is my books that were published on Amazon Kindle and Amazon Createspace. I know we can sell things via Amazon just like on ebay. All we have to do is sign up and then send your items to Amazon warehouse. your products you will be delivered by Amazon when it gets sold.
I am thinking to start selling on ebay, however, I am undecided yet about the things that I will be selling.
