If you want to stay away from scam site then keep in mind that none of the legitimate sites will ask you to pay money for registration. So never pay or work for a site that asks you to pay for signup or for start the work. I would love to work for a site that pays every day and with no payment limit.

If the earning site that you are going to join ask you to pay certain amount ads membership fees, than you should avoid it. I have never paid for membership to any earning site and will never pay for membership. Evebed to paid services even with the trusten a trusted freelancer site such as upwork has an option for paid membership, however, I have never subscribed to the trusted programs. If any new programs asks you money, it is a sign of scam.

A company that asks for money for registration should definitely raise a red flag. I have found out through a lot of trial and error that most things on the internet, especially the survey sites are scams and are getting people to do free labor for them. There have to be better, more legitimate ways of making money online. You have to do a lot of research and not sell yourself short by doing meaningless things that waste your time and doesn't pay you. All of these sites should be regulated somehow and brought up to standards.

I 100% agree with all of you. Sadly, I had to experience a site like this on my own skin and learn from my stupidity.

It was a few years ago when I was unfamiliar with freelancing and how such sites work so I stumbled across a site (I don't recall the name but I doubt it even exists anymore) and they asked for some sort of registration fee. I was dumb and fell for their promises and pictures of ''people's earnings''. I actually paid to register. The site never made me any money. They didn't even give me any of the tons of work that they promised at the start. It was a complete scam. I felt pretty bummed afterward but life goes on. I learned from it and now I know better. Definitely stay away from such sites!

Immediately avoid sites that ask for payment or credit card info when registering. Even if they are offering high payments, avoid them. There's a big chance that it's a scam.

I have never used sites like that, and I think I wouldn't register on a website that wants money from you before you start making it. I would think that it seems suspicious. Especially if you wouldn't be able to make much money there.

I think most of the people over here have the enough knowledge about these type of sites. So we should be careful about it. Why do they need to demand money from us if they shall pay for our work at their site?

I have found that almost every MLM and the networking opportunity requires you to pay for something. And they are not willing to give you money for the work you do. You just have to add more people and sell their high priced products. Same can be said with the transcription based type of the sites. I don't think that's any worth for me. I would not pay for such stuff at all. I don't like such sites either these days.

I think it should be common logic that in any work, you should not pay for anything. This applies in real life too, otherwise, if you do need to pay for something, then it's not legitimate work. It's probably just some networking/investment scam at that point. If you want to work online and they ask you for money, simply don't give it. You're there on that site to make money, and they are there to look for employees that will help them provide their services, they're not there to beg for your money so you can get in.

I'll never pay anyone to give me work. I've been working long enough offline and online to know I'm not supposed to pay for membership of any kind to any company, unless of course it's a direct selling company. But even then, I'll get a kit that's at least commensurate to the fees. When I company asks me to pay for something to join them, I smell a scam and move on to the next job opportunity. I won't even to that to secure premium membership in online search. I'd rather use the money to start a new blog where I can advertise my services and earn on ads.

Yeah, I support this. That's a huge red flag. Most places that are legitimate and popular don't have a registration fee, so it's hard to believe that it's needed in most cases. If legit, they're more likely to take a commission off your earnings, than to ask you to pay just to start.
