Thrilled that Postloop is Back
« on: May 17, 2017, 10:04:30 AM »
I for one am very happy to see Postloop back. It has always been a great way to earn a few dollars, and most of the forums are quite interesting. I know that back when it first started people were able to making up to 100 dollars a month on PL. I am not sure that it will ever be the way it once was, but even 40 to 50 a month is helpful..what say you?

I am with you all the way, I worked for Postloop for years and it was a very reliable site, so I hope that with the new owners it can be as good or even better. I was reading about their expansion plan and I was excited about it. :)

It is fantastic they want to expand it. It was a very reliable income producer in it's day. I thought it was gone forever, so the fact it is back is really exciting. I hope they add more forums every day because it can be a easy way to earn some cash, and learn about various subjects of interest as well.

I want to remain upbeat.  Nonetheless, I have to be realistic.  Note, the last owner, Ryan, could not make Postloop work given what he said was falling demand, so how can SEO Clerks be able to?  Anyway, though, SEO Clerks possibly have a lot more money than Ryan.  Do you all think so?

While there was a decline in forum owners that led to the closure of the original PostLoop, it had become flooded with what many deem third rated writers that ruined the system and it was hard to crack down on.

While many forums do fold after a while, the fact is some sites do want content on a regular basis for traffic. I think as long as the standard is kept high, some forum owners will use the service. I do see on other forums people who aren't necessarily native English speakers moaning about not being able to get into PostLoop, and maybe if they took a Textbroker approach it would prevent those whose English that is substandard from applying. That's a key element to making a business work.

It's all about contacts. There was a war between Ryan and forum owners, rating related I believe, Ryan wanted low ratings, I don't know if that increased his profits, and forum owners didn't want to rate lowly the writers they enjoyed. So maybe these new owners can establish a good relation with forum owners?

Yes, I think relationships are critical. I think that trying to line your own pockets by not giving others their just due is wrong. I especially didn't like the fact that the old Postloop was playing games at the end with ratings. I was unable to cash out, but since the money was still there, the new PL owners were nice enough to let me cash out. I think as long as the PL site is fair to all, it will work out well.

A bigger problem than simply the bad grammar is the fact that a lot of them are not providing interesting conversation.  The remarks they make might just be a repeat of something just said - or they refuse to provide backup for things they say.  For instance, if someone says they dislike Apple computers, then there need to be interesting reasons, not just the statement of dislike.

Anyway, I understand I am dealing with humble people and what they say isn't always perfect, but there needs to be a little effort sometimes.

I think that's why there are popular posters and ones that people tend to ignore. I remember the smart health forum where people would rush to get easy points and not create any useful posts. I recall one member most people disliked because they would post 5 one liners in less than a minute.  People like that ruined if for many, and because they were only stopped by certain owners, people saw it and copied that kind of action. In the end I can see owners getting tired of having to monitor it all and just quitting PostLoop.

I've made a couple of posts here, that were never counted in Post-Loop.   One was a week ago and I did not think much of it, because it was kind of short.  But the other one was just a few hours ago and was concerning Prolific.AC.   It was decent length and content.  I accessed the forum through Post-Loop.  Has anyone taken notice to their comments not being picked up.  And if this is happening to someone, then what are the new criteria for posting to be relevant?

I haven't noticed that, but it may have been the individual forum owner who had an issue with the post and not PL. I would take it up with the forum where you posted the comment to see if they have something to say about it. I have had an issue trying to sign up with a couple of forums because one is demanding an avatar, but I don't see how to put it on. I also never got an a confirmation email from one of the sites I chose to sign up on.

True, I had a couple of dollars there too, and I managed to cash them out. So far, I am very well impressed with the new owners, I hope they continue as well as they started, and so far a decent amount of forums too.

Over the moon and then some! I was really disappointed when PL went away, because as a SAHM it was a great way not only to earn a little bit of pocket money here and there, but also to have some interaction online with other adults! The social nature of posting on forums is something that appeals to me, and if I can earn a little bit from it then it's even better.

Ever since it closed down I had been trying to find similar things online where I could get paid for forum posting, but didn't find anything in the same category as Postloop. Hopefully it will go from strength to strength and be a little pocket money earner for me again!

Yeah, I've been with Postloop right to the end, but when it was over I joined Forum Wheel (not that different) and had free time to discover quite a few other best paying sites, so it ended up being a good thing. :)
