more forums on postloop
« on: July 01, 2017, 02:28:38 PM »
Normally, I go to my subscription list and leave comments on the forums I have subscribed. However, two days ago, I checked the forums on postloop and discovered that my rating would allow me to join 4 new forums. Out of four, two forums are on webmaster and online marketing niche, one is general discussion and the last one is tech discussion. Since I have knowledge on these topics, I joined these forums.

Have you checked out these forums?

I regularly check the forum tab and see if anything suits me.  Some forums appear and disappear.  I am getting used to it now.  I had just one for a few days but now I have four including this one.  I had to wait patiently for this site to approve my registration which they did just today.  I am happy about it as I know there is so much I can share and learn here.

I've had this experience a couple of times before and yes, it's refreshing. There are also times where a forum itself would just lower the required rating and you would be able to get in after. I love Postloop, heard a lot of negative things about it in the past, but it seems to be really good for me and I don't see why people would hate it. But oh well, their loss. As for me, I'm having a lot of fun as this is the most stable forum posting job I've ever had.

It's been awhile since I was last on PostLoop but I feel like they are losing a considerable amount of forums every month. Before I left there was about 40 sites to choose from and many many blogs, now I barely have 8 options to choose from and I have a relatively high rating as well...

Lowering the required rating and increasing the required rating both are very common on the postloop forums. In my opinion, the admins of these forums lower/increase required rating in order to control low quality post and spam. I have a good rating and my rating allows me to all most all forums, however, I have only joined the forums on the topics that are under my knowledge. I am not into gaming and I have not subscribed to any game based forums.

I'm quite picky with forums that I join because I don't want to just post and run. I like to absorb the site and be part of it. I also don't want to risk my rating by joining unstable sites. There have been complaints about forums where members unexpectedly lose points so I thought I'd avoid them. At present, I'm only active on 4 or 5 sites which is just fine for me. These are all trustworthy sites.

How did it go guys? Do you still notice a lot of forums disabling and going inactive lately?

In the past I could rarely find any forums that interested me, so I've never been very active at Postloop. I'm not willing to waste my time (or theirs) writing on topics I know nothing about. Lately there are a few forums I'd love to join though. Unfortunately the required rating for those forums is 4.8 and I'm stuck at 4.52 right now. I used to think that I had a decent rating, but apparently not.

Haha, yeah I saw those 4.8 forums. Honestly, though, 4.52 is actually a good rating. Just look at PostLoops average user rating. It's 3.37. Compare yours to that you can clearly see that you're above average. I don't know how many users truly have a rating of 4.8 and above... I'd love to see that number.

Anyway, I have been finding plenty of new forums on PostLoop lately. It's really nice to see them enabled when you don't even expect. I posted some on webmaster forums, gaming ones and more. I like that they're diverse and I didn't really run into any problems so far.

I wish I could say the same. The last two I joined ran out of points soon after I joined and I'm wondering whether they'll come back. Not that I've got enough free time for those that I'm signed up to, but sometimes I'm in the mood for something different. And two of those with 4.8 rating requirements are those that interest me most.

Yes I did but those forums require higher rating, I have 4.03, not applicable for registration. Any other forums I can join in ? The forums are getting lesser now, some with negative points.
