How do you get hired? I've applied twice and can't get a call back.  What do they look for on you application and resume?

I read they get flooded with applications during their hiring phases.  Maybe they just didn't get to yours.  Keep trying, watch for their job posts and apply quickly.  They must be good to work for!

Do they offer these positions internationally or are they only local? I don't think it would benefit anyone if you are not located in the same country. Perhaps there are a few other companies who have positions like this available. Applying at several different companies might be the answer.

I didn't know that Uhaul hired workers like this.  That is something I can look out for if they are hiring again.  If not, I will check for companies like this that are hiring.

What kind of availability did you put down? When I applied, they wanted people with lots of availability and weekends (at least one day) were  mandatory.

That might have something to do with it? Not 100% sure, just offering suggestions. :)

I can totally understand this as my teenager can't seem to get a call back from all the places that he has applied to. Companies now look for specific talent, skill, or degree and each job has at least fifty applicants, even at McDonald fast food.

It seemed to me that you have to know someone from the inside of the company to get the advantage of stepping through the door.

They tend weight availability highly. They do get flooded with applicants, so if your application comes back and it looks like you are too picky or busy, then they will go to the next guy. This company looks at every aspect of your application. They have to judge you on very little, so it MUST be perfect. They care about things like grammar, formatting an punctuation, on all communications, including application and resume.

I'll second this, especially the availability. With all the applications most places are flooded with, availability and flexibility are going to be valued by them. Sometimes there are just too many people vying for the same position, though, and it's not necessarily anything you could have done better on your application.
