l signed up to clickworkers
« on: May 17, 2014, 06:03:37 PM »
This is another Mturk type website and they pay you to do small tasks and l did join up with them recently, before you get to do any jobs you have to go through a few assessments and pass those assessments, some of the assessments can be repeated but not all of them. l gave it a try and l did one job and l decided it was not for me but l would not rule it out as they have a lot of workers especially in Europe and they are one of the more professional microworker websites out there.

Hm, from the way it has been described in numerous posts, it doesn't sound like something I would want to look into. I am not a fan of doing random tasks because it often comes with sign ups, etc. :(

Click worker is a German company, and runs very efficiently. The pay is higher than most, and though people report to earn $9 an hour, my experience it's around half of that. Still the work is genuine and and of good standard, I would highly recommend.

Hmmmm...$4.50 isn't too bad, considering you're at home keeping costs down.  I'd be more attracted to it if it paid a little more, but you made a good point irishways.  Thanks for your insight.

Clickworking sites are a little hit & miss; some are worthwhile and pay out, while others delete accounts for "spam" or numerous other reasons and don't pay out.

I guess you can hear of so many good or bad testimonials, but truth be told the best way to figure out whether it's legitimate or not is to use it yourself.

Good to know. I may reconsider going all gung ho for Clickworker. It definitely seems like a lot of work for a small amount of money. Thanks for posting!

Good to hear :) Even if it isn't a scam it is still a lot of work for not that much money. May not be worth your time.

My experience with Clickworker has not been what I expected. I went through all of the assessments and have great scores, I even did the exercise where you "audition" for more advanced writing opportunities and was graded a 90%. So far I have made very little to no money on the site, am I doing something wrong? I check often and make sure I keep everything updated, I think my scores are impressive but no worthwhile jobs are coming in. I don't mean to sound pretentious but the thought of making a few dollars an hour was rather enticing and so far I am making nowhere near that. Any suggestions?

I have been on clickworker for over six months, I have done the required assessments; scoring 95% and upwards. Unfortunately I've never been assigned a task; i do not know if its because of my geographical location being that I am living in Jamaica. For now I am looking where the grass is greener.

Be wary of Clickworkers; I have heard that they occasionally just delete your account.

The money from CW can be relatively quite good compared to other online tasks to perform, it's all about finding the right task. I've found that the lower paying but fast to complete tasks on UHRS definitely pay the best. So far I'm getting about $5 per hour with little effort, and it doesn't seem to run out. The only problem I have with it though is that it can take 3 weeks for payment to go from UHRS to CW and as Aprax says, there have been instances of them just removing people's accounts for little reason. Be wary, but if you're careful, it seems like fairly good money.

I have had problems with clickworker. I have had times where I wasn't compensated for doing tasks, and I passed all of the assessments. I find that I'm getting paid 2 cents for something that took me a couple of minutes to do. Am I doing something wrong?

I signed up for it and there were no assessments available for me to do and no jobs available for me to do. Why did I waste my time signing up for this? I don't get it, others are making money with it.

It took me like 2 weeks to be accepted to Mturk and have my bank verified. I would sign up if it was different work. because doing numerous tasks of data and surveys can get mind numbing.
